Kristin Davis Claims ‘Sex and the City 3’ Can Still Happen, Get The Details Inside!

Last month, we shared some bad news with all you ‘Sex and the City‘ fans out there. During an interview with Extra, Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that the planned Sex and the City 3 would probably never happen.

“It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie,” she told the site. She claimed that they had a script ready to go, and it was “funny, beautiful and heartbreaking.”

But while Parker has thrown in the towel on the sequel, her co-star Kristin Davis has not. She told E! News that she is still hopeful Sex and the City 3 gets made.

“Maybe we’ll figure out something to do, I don’t know, it would be great. I just feel like it’s a positive thing all the way around. I’m sad that we’re not doing the movie but at the same time, I love the support so much and I’m so grateful for it.”

That should give at least a little hope to all you fans out there. For what it’s worth, it appears the drama/delay is because of Kim Cattrall, who plays Samantha Jones.

Co-star Willie Garson suggested on Twitter that she was the reason for the delay. Not long after that, Cattrall revealed in an interview that she’s never been friends with the other lead actresses on the show, and that she was forced to put her SATC schedule above having children.

If a third movie does happen, it will likely be without Cattrall.
