We try to make every Friday a good day, but we have some bad news to share with all you Sex and the City fans out there. We know the cast teased that they were planning on making another film, but it looks like that’s not going to happen now.

During an interview with Extra, Sarah Jessica Parker revealed a third installment of the franchise will not happen, “It’s over. We’re not doing it,” she explained.

Apparently, they did have a script completed for this third movie, but we will never see it…

“I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.”

Wow. Beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful and relatable? That sounds like the perfect script. We can’t imagine why it’s not getting made.

What’s strange is that Parker hasn’t seemed that eager to make a third movie, so you’d think she would be happier about this news. Several years ago, she told Tribute Movies the following…

“If we left them today and this is where they were, I’d be okay. I’d miss the people and the camaraderie and the sorority, and I’d miss the experience on the streets of New York. But I have such a vivid memory of all of it, it’s enough to get me to my grave.”

Looks like the beauty, hilarity, and great sadness of this third movie will be taken to her grave.
