‘The Batman’ Begins Filming Again After Robert Pattinson’s Positive COVID-19 Test

Good news Batman fans, ‘The Batman’ is filming once again in London following a delay of about two weeks.

The production was forced to pause earlier this month, due to Robert Pattinson testing positive for the coronavirus. The studio nor the actor’s reps confirmed it was him who tested positive, but multiple sources have confirmed it.

Filming at Leavesden Studios outside of London was halted on Sept. 3 while Pattinson recuperated and cast and crew who were in close contact with the star also quarantined. Some sets continued to be constructed, but cameras effectively stopped rolling.

Now two weeks later, Pattinson is healthy and COVID-19 free, so production is back on. We’re assuming that no one else came down with the virus, but we can’t confirm that. I think that if other people got it, they’d be force to shut down even longer though.

So if that’s the case, if no one else was positive, then that’s good news for Hollywood’s safety regulations. It means all the mask wearing, hand sanitizing and social distancing on set is working.

Several buzzy projects, such as ‘The Matrix 4’ ‘Jurassic World: Dominion,’ and the Disney Plus series ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,’ have also resumed production.

So yeah, the process is slow and it’ll continue to be slow (and there will be setbacks) but things are progressing for the first time in a long time.
