Topher Grace Joining Jon Stewart’s Political Comedy Film ‘Irresistible’

Jon Stewart continues to load up the cast for his upcoming political comedy movie, Irresistible. He already has the incredibly talented Mackenzie Davis, Steve Carell, Rose Byrne and Chris Cooper, and now he’s adding Topher Grace.

As most of you know, Grace has been on a hot streak recently. He starred in the award-winning film BlacKkKlansman last year, Under the Silver Lake, and he had a small role in Interstellar. He’s slowly making people forget about his days on That ’70s Show.

No word on how important his role will be in this movie, but we know Carell will have a starring role…

Carell is portraying a Democratic political consultant who helps a retired ex-Marine colonel, played by Cooper, run for mayor in a small Wisconsin town. Byrne will play Carell’s Republican counterpart and Davis will play the daughter of Cooper’s character. Grace’s role is being kept under wraps.

Stewart wrote and will direct this film. Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment will produce, which is a good sign because they seem to only produce award-winning films.

No word on a release date, but we will keep you posted.
