Good News: Jonah Hill Reveals The Strange Jump Street/Men In Black Crossover Film Probably Won’t Happen!

When we first heard that there were plans in place to create a 21 Jump Street/Men In Black crossover movie, we thought it was a joke. After all, the plans for this project consisted of a few leaked emails between Jonah Hill and execs at Sony.

Then things started to get serious. Sony started developing the project and they were working with director James Bobin to move things forward. All signs were pointing to this movie getting made.

But during a recent interview with The Toronto Sun, Hill explained that the movie probably wouldn’t happen…

“I had the idea. But I doubt that movie will get made. It’s too complicated. They’re trying to make all the deals, but it’s kind of impossible with all the Men in Black stuff. The Jump Street films were so fun to make and the whole joke of them was they were making fun of remakes and sequels and reboots and then now it’s become a giant sequel, reboot. It’s almost become what we were making fun of and it’s hard to maintain that joke when it’s so high stakes.”

That’s a relief. I mean, I love both Men In Black and 21 Jump Street, but I don’t want to see them together. In the same way that I love baked potatoes and cereal. I don’t want chunks of warm potatoes mixing in with my Honey Nut Cheerios.

Anyway, if you need more Jonah Hill in your life right now, you can watch him with Miles Teller in War Dogs. It’s scheduled to hit theaters August 19.
