Adam Driver Set To Star In Jeff Nichols’ Upcoming Film ‘Yankee Comandante’

When we see Adam Driver’s name in a headline, we pay attention. The dude is probably the most talented actor in the game right now. He steals every single scene he’s in, and he’s been in a lot of scenes lately.

Last year, he starred in Marriage Story and The Report. Both films received praise from the critics and he was actually nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Marriage Story.

But beyond reprising his portrayal of Kylo Ren in the final installment in the latest Star Wars saga, what has Driver been up to?

Well, he reportedly just agreed to star in Jeff Nichols’ upcoming film, Yankee Comandante.

The film is based on David Grann’s New Yorker article about two people who rose to the rank of comandante during the Cuban Revolution. One was Che Guevara. The other was a man from Ohio.

We’re assuming Driver will play the dude from Ohio.

For those wondering, Nichols’ is the writer/director behind films like Mud and Midnight Special.

No word on when this new project will begin production, but sources say it’ll likely start up sometime in 2021.
