Check Out Lady Gaga And Adam Driver In First Trailer For ‘House of Gucci’

The first trailer for ‘House of Gucci’ has been released, featuring Adam Driver and Lady Gaga as Mr. and Mrs. Gucci.

House of Gucci is inspired by the unbelievably shocking true story of the family empire behind the Italian fashion house of Gucci.

Gaga plays socialite Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio’s ex-wife who was tried and convicted of orchestrating his murder after he left her for a younger woman. She served 18 years in prison, where she gained the nickname Black Widow, before being released in 2016.

The film was directed by Ridley Scott, who is perhaps best known for his sci-fi work. He’s the director behind Alien, Blade Runner and The Martian.

House of Gucci was written by Roberto Bentivegna, based on Sara Gay Forden’s book ‘The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.’ The star-studded cast also includes Al Pacino, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons.

It’s set to hit theaters November 24, and you can bet they’re hoping it’ll be an awards contender. It’s difficult to see how it wouldn’t be, with Scott directing and a cast that includes Al Pacino, Driver, Gaga and Irons.

Lady Gaga And Adam Driver Give Us A Delicious First Look At ‘House of Gucci’

If you haven’t heard, Ridley Scott is directing a film titled ‘House of Gucci’ which depicts the true story of the downfall of the Gucci family dynasty.

Adam Driver is playing Maurizio Gucci in the movie, and Lady Gaga is playing his ex-wife, Patrizia Reggiani. Legend has it, after Maurizio left her for a younger woman, Patrizia hired a hitman to kill Maurizio.

She was later sentenced to 29 years in prison, and was released in 2016 after only serving 18 years. She was released on good behavior, according to the reports.

So yeah, this movie should be pretty entertaining. Gaga shared a photo of her and Driver all dressed up with snow and mountains behind them.

And it’s safe to say, they look the part.

They don’t even need a trailer. Just give me that photo and I’ll buy a ticket to watch the film.

The movie is currently being filmed in Europe. It’s expected to hit theaters in November.

Adam Driver Set To Star In Jeff Nichols’ Upcoming Film ‘Yankee Comandante’

When we see Adam Driver’s name in a headline, we pay attention. The dude is probably the most talented actor in the game right now. He steals every single scene he’s in, and he’s been in a lot of scenes lately.

Last year, he starred in Marriage Story and The Report. Both films received praise from the critics and he was actually nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Marriage Story.

But beyond reprising his portrayal of Kylo Ren in the final installment in the latest Star Wars saga, what has Driver been up to?

Well, he reportedly just agreed to star in Jeff Nichols’ upcoming film, Yankee Comandante.

The film is based on David Grann’s New Yorker article about two people who rose to the rank of comandante during the Cuban Revolution. One was Che Guevara. The other was a man from Ohio.

We’re assuming Driver will play the dude from Ohio.

For those wondering, Nichols’ is the writer/director behind films like Mud and Midnight Special.

No word on when this new project will begin production, but sources say it’ll likely start up sometime in 2021.

Watch The Official Trailer For ‘Marriage Story’ Starring Adam Driver And Scarlett Johansson

After watching ‘Parasite‘ last weekend, I don’t see how any film is going to top it this year, but if one film has a shot, it might be Marriage Story.

Noah Baumbach’s latest film stars Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson as a couple navigating a divorce.

Driver’s Charlie is a successful New York City theater director, while Johansson’s Nicole is an actress with dreams of moving to her hometown of Los Angeles for a chance to escalate her career. The two have a young son, played by Azhy Robertson.

The movie has premiered at multiple festivals and has been getting rave reviews from critics. It has a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and most critics believe Driver and Johansson will receive Oscar nominations for their performances.

They also say it’s Noah’s best film, which is saying a lot because he’s wrote and/or directed some pretty great films, including The Meyerowitz Stories, Frances Ha, and Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Marriage Story will hit select theaters November 6, before hitting the Netflix platform on December 6.

Check Out The First Teaser Trailer For ‘The Report’ Starring Adam Driver

Adam Driver is one of the most talented actors working in Hollywood right now, and if he’s not on your radar yet, he certainly will be before 2019 ends.

Not only is he starring in the highly anticipated ‘Marriage Story‘ film, but he’s also got a starring role in the upcoming political drama, The Report.

In the movie, Driver plays Senate staffer Daniel Jones, who “begins to investigate the CIA’s Detention and Interrogation Program, a group created in the aftermath of 9/11.”

As he digs deeper, he uncovers horrific “realities that the nation’s top intelligence agency has gone through great lengths to destroy.”

The film also stars Jon Hamm, Maura Tierney and Matthew Rhys. It premiered at Sundance and received outstanding reviews. It’s expected to hit theaters November 15, 2019.

Watch The First Trailer For ‘The Dead Don’t Die’ Starring Bill Murray And Adam Driver

Did you watch the 2016 indie drama Paterson with Adam Driver? The film was a weird mess, but it was a lovely one. It received outstanding reviews from critics and showed off Driver’s incredible acting skills. The director of the film, Jim Jarmusch, is returning with another indie movie in 2019.

And just like Paterson, this film stars Adam Driver. But that’s where the similarities end, ’cause this movie, The Dead Don’t Die, is about local cops trying to fight off a zombie invasion.

In addition to Driver, this movie also stars Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and Selena Gomez.

Driver and Murray star as local cops who must spring into action when a zombie outbreak begins affecting the town’s citizens. Jarmusch shot the movie in upstate New York, and Murray has gone on record saying the director has written a zombie script that’s so hilarious.

We believe Murray. Jarmusch is a wonderful filmmaker and with an impressive cast supporting him, I’m sure the finished project is filled with lots of laughs.

Check out the trailer below. It’s scheduled to hit theaters June 14, 2019.

The New Poster For Spike Lee’s ‘BlacKkKlansman’ Movie Has Been Released, And It’s Amazing

Most people focus more on movie trailers than movie posters these days, and that’s a shame, ’cause a good movie poster can tell quite the story.

Just take a look at the new poster for Spike Lee’s ‘BlacKkKlansman’ film. Take a look at the poster. A real long look.

Did you do it? Okay, now try to figure out what the movie is about. Does it match with the synopsis below? I bet it does. That’s how impressive this poster is. This movie doesn’t even need a trailer.

“From visionary filmmaker Spike Lee comes the incredible true story of an American hero. It’s the early 1970s, and Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) is the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department. Determined to make a name for himself, Stallworth bravely sets out on a dangerous mission: infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan. The young detective soon recruits a more seasoned colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), into the undercover investigation of a lifetime. Together, they team up to take down the extremist hate group as the organization aims to sanitize its violent rhetoric to appeal to the mainstream.”

We are super excited for this film. The early reviews coming out are extremely positive. It’ll hit theaters August 10, 2018.

Terry Gilliam’s Long-Delayed ‘The Man Who Killed Don Quixote’ Project Finally Has A Trailer, Watch It Inside!

We were beginning to think this film would never be released, but it looks like things are on the right track now because a trailer was just released.

Terry Gilliam has been trying to make this comic fantasy film for over 15 years now. Back in 2000, production on the project briefly started with Johnny Depp, but it was terminated rather quickly due to floods, financial issues and illnesses.

“After several more starts and stops, the movie went into production again last year with Jonathan Pryce starring as a modern-day man who claims to be Don Quixote and Adam Driver as his would-be Sancho Panza, a cynical TV commercials director.”

The first trailer was released this week, so that’s certainly good news. However, there are still a few more obstacles standing in its way. It was originally set to premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, but it was removed due to legal issues with one of the film’s former producers.

We’re not sure how this legal trouble will impact the release of the film, but obviously it didn’t hold them back from releasing a trailer. There is no release date scheduled at the moment, but hopefully it’ll be in a theater near you before the end of the year.

The First Official Look At Soderbergh’s ‘Logan Lucky’ Film Features Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig And Adam Driver (PHOTO)

We have been waiting for this one. Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky has released its first photo, via its official Twitter account, and it features the three stars of the film: Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig and Adam Driver.

As reported by Dark Horizons, the heist film will follow two brothers (played by Tatum and Driver) “who set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the legendary Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Craig plays a criminal type they recruit to help them pull off their scheme.”

The cast for this movie is stacked. In addition to the three leads mention above, you also have Riley Keough, Seth MacFarlane, Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank and Dwight Yoakam.

This will be Soderbergh’s first film since 2013’s Side Effects. Logan Lucky is scheduled to hit theaters August 18, 2017.

Movie Review: While We’re Young (2015) – A Charming Woody Allen-esque Indie Gem

Celebrities On The Set of "While We Were Young" In New York City - September 24, 2013

While We’re Young is a new indie movie with limited release, possibly aimed at aging hipsters. Despite the fact that its release was limited to a small amount of theaters, this one could wind up being a sleeper hit.

Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts play a 40-something couple who is more than content with their decision to not have children. In fact, they mention it so much that you start to think they’re protesting too much. Conflict comes in when they meet a spirited 20 something couple (Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried). There’s some generational culture clash and much self-deprecation on Ben Stiller’s part. While the premise isn’t exactly exciting, I found myself incredibly intrigued by this charming indie gem.

The culture clash is powerful. The younger couple is part of the entitlement generation that kind of just expects everything to work out. The older couple is part of Generation X, which is marked with an almost constant sense of impending doom. Ben Stiller’s character especially, is a man on the edge. He’s tried his entire life to earn a name for himself as a respected documentary maker, but to date, everyone has failed to recognize his genius. Being in his mid forties, he’s at an age where he’s starting to wonder if his dreams will ever come true, of if he’s doomed to mediocrity. As a 30 something, I know the feeling.

The movie has an almost Woody Allen feel, in the way it makes fun of the New York Hipster subculture. The older couple especially, seems to be clinging to the culture in an effort to cling to their youth. The characters are brilliant, but completely immature, and their interactions make the movie work.

03APR2015 - While we're young movie sitll 2

It’s a movie that really focuses on that blurry line of middle age, when it’s too late to do some things, and feels too late to change direction. Because there’s nothing we can do about it, we spend the majority of our time trying to convince ourselves that our choices were right. It’s the perfect recipe for a midlife crisis and people who might fall into this middle of the road age bracket will be able to easily understand.

When you get about two thirds of the way in, the movie drops its breezy atmosphere and starts to get very heavy. It feels like one person wrote the first half of the movie, while a manic depressive wrote the rest, because out of nowhere the movie gets really dark.

Regardless of that, this is still a good movie. People who remember Woody Allen movies will be reminded of them, while the hipster vibe will resonate with younger crowds, at least the ones that are ok with laughing at themselves. The dialog is well done, the conflicts, at least for the first two thirds, are believable, and the characters are well rounded. Chances are you know someone who is very much like one of the characters in this movie. They did a good job of writing them funny, without going awkward.

It’s a good movie for adults who are looking for something breezy and indie and is easily worth the watch, despite a somewhat heavy ending.

WE GIVE IT: 4.5 STARS!  Official Movie Trailer and Movie Poster Below.
