The Super Bowl was incredibly boring last night. Most of the commercials were lame, the game was meh, and the halftime show was a snoozefest.
But at least one good thing happened during the game. Jordan Peele dropped the second trailer for his upcoming horror flick Us.
“‘Us’ centers on Adelaide and Gabe Wilson (Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke) as they take their kids to Adelaide’s childhood home in Northern California for the summer. They unwind with their friends (Elisabeth Moss and Tim Heidecker), but Adelaide, still haunted by a past trauma, becomes paranoid that something is about to hurt her family.”
Peele wrote and directed this movie, just like he did with his directorial debut ‘Get Out‘ back in 2017. Get Out earned over $250 million worldwide at the box office and earned Peele a first-look deal with Universal Pictures.
Us is expected to hit theaters March 22, 2019. It was originally scheduled to be released March 15, but they pushed it back a week to create more buzz after it premieres at the South by Southwest Film Festival.
