The Second Trailer For Jordan Peele’s ‘Us’ Has Been Released, Check It Out Inside!

The Super Bowl was incredibly boring last night. Most of the commercials were lame, the game was meh, and the halftime show was a snoozefest.

But at least one good thing happened during the game. Jordan Peele dropped the second trailer for his upcoming horror flick Us.

“‘Us’ centers on Adelaide and Gabe Wilson (Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke) as they take their kids to Adelaide’s childhood home in Northern California for the summer. They unwind with their friends (Elisabeth Moss and Tim Heidecker), but Adelaide, still haunted by a past trauma, becomes paranoid that something is about to hurt her family.”

Peele wrote and directed this movie, just like he did with his directorial debut ‘Get Out‘ back in 2017. Get Out earned over $250 million worldwide at the box office and earned Peele a first-look deal with Universal Pictures.

Us is expected to hit theaters March 22, 2019. It was originally scheduled to be released March 15, but they pushed it back a week to create more buzz after it premieres at the South by Southwest Film Festival.

It’s Here! Watch The First Trailer For Jordan Peele’s Upcoming Horror Flick ‘Us’

Ever since Jordan Peele shocked the world with ‘Get Out’ back in February of 2017, the world has been asking him for more. Get Out was a freaking smash at the box office. It made over $250 million on a budget of just $4.5 million. More importantly, it won multiple awards and basically gave Peele the freedom to do whatever the hell he wants.

And apparently, ‘Us’ is what he wants. Peele gave his fans a Christmas present by releasing the first trailer for his upcoming horror flick Us.

“Lupita Nyong’o and her Black Panther co-star Winston Duke lead Us as parents to two children, played by Shahadi Wright-Joseph and Evan Alex.”

Peele screened the trailer for a small group of press last week and wanted to make it clear that this film is not about race…

“Very important for me was to have a black family at the center of a horror film. But it’s also important to note, unlike Get Out, Us is not about race. It is instead about something that I feel has become an undeniable truth. And that is the simple fact that we are our own worst enemies.”

It’s a really smart move having a press screener for the trailer and announcing tickets are now on sale (three months in advance) it all builds hype. Peele is a smart dude and a brilliant filmmaker.

Watch the trailer below. The film will hit theaters March 15, 2019.

Check Out The New Poster For Jordan Peele’s Next Film ‘Us’

So you already watched ‘Get Out‘ five times and you’re ready for Jordan Peele’s next project? Well, hold on…it’s coming!

On Monday, a plot synopsis for his new film ‘Us‘ was released and it got everyone excited…

“A mother (Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o from Black Panther, Star Wars: The Last Jedi and 12 Years a Slave) and a father (Winston Duke from Black Panther) take their kids to their beach house expecting to unplug and unwind with friends (including Emmy winner Elizabeth Moss from TV series The Handmaid’s Tale). But as night descends, their serenity turns to tension and chaos when some shocking visitors arrive uninvited.”

Obviously that’s a pretty vague description, but it’s just enough to make you want a taste. I’m not sure why this got all sexual all the sudden.

Anyway, in addition to the plot synopsis, a new poster was released. You can check that out below. The film is scheduled to hit theaters March 15, 2019.

You didn’t think Jordan Peele was going to take a long break after the success of ‘Get Out‘ did you? Nah, he’s riding this wave of awesomeness all the way to the bank.

First known for his sketch comedy work on Comedy Central’s ‘Key & Peele,’ the 39-year-old filmmaker finally got the opportunity to make his passion project after 10 years in development. ‘Get Out’ was a huge success, it received great reviews from critics, made over $250 million worldwide and earned Peele an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.

Now he’s following it all up with a movie titled Us. He released the first poster for the film this week. He didn’t provide many details on the film, but we are hearing Lupita Nyong’o (Black Panther) and Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale) are in talks for lead roles.

That’s honestly all we know about this project, and it’s probably for the best. The most talented directors like to surprise you.

It’s expected to hit theaters in March of 2019. We will keep you posted.
