Pete Davidson Set To Star Alongside Naomi Scott In Upcoming A24 Film ‘Wizards!’

Pete Davidson continues to be a hot choice in Hollywod, thanks in large part to the press he’s receiving for his very public relationship with Kim Kardashian.

He’s already filmed a couple movies this past year, and now he’s set to start work on another one. It was announced this week that Davidson will star alongside Naomi Scott, Franz Rogowski and Sean Harris in the upcoming film ‘Wizards!’ from Australian filmmaker, David Michod.

The film follows two hapless pothead beach-bar operators (Davidson and Rogowski) who run into trouble when they stumble across stolen loot that they really should have just left alone.

Michod wrote the script based on a story by Joel Edgerton. A24 and Plan B Entertainment are working together to finance the project.

It’s the fourth collab between the two production companies. They previously worked together on Moonlight, The Last Black Man in San Francisco and Minari.

The movie is set to film in Queensland. No word on when they’re expecting to release the movie, but we’ll keep you posted.

In the meantime, you can catch Davidson in the upcoming horror/slasher ‘Bodies Bodies Bodies‘ which is set to be released on August 5, 2022.

Pete Davidson Set To Star In Upcoming Horror-Thriller ‘The Home’ For Miramax

Pete Davidson has been the headline king in recent months, thanks in large part to his steamy relationship with Kim Kardashian. In the world we live in today, publicity is almost always a good thing. Some people will enter relationships just to put their name out there.

We’re not saying Pete is doing that, but we are saying he’s probably getting more offers because of his relationship with Kim.

It was announced this week that the 28-year-old comedian/actor will star in the upcoming Miramax horror-thriller ‘The Home‘ which is being directed by James DeMonaco, the filmmaker behind The Purge.

In ‘The Home’ Davidson will play a troubled dude named Max, who starts working at a retirement home and realizes its residents and caretakers harbor sinister secrets.

As he investigates the building and its forbidden fourth floor, he starts to uncover connections to his own past and upbringing as a foster child.

Production on the flick is set to begin later this month, which means Kim and Pete will probably be seeing less of each other for a few weeks.

DeMonaco certainly knows how to create a successful horror franchise, so we’ll see what we can do with this story. No word on a potential release date.

Pete Davidson Set To Star Alongside Kaley Cuoco In Rom-Com ‘Meet Cute’

We all know Pete Davidson has had an impressive dating history in real life, dating stars like Ariana Grande, Kate Beckinsale and Margaret Qualley.

And now, he’ll have a pretty impressive on-screen romance with ‘Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco.

According to a new report from Deadline, Davidson and Cuoco are in negotiations to star in the romantic comedy, Meet Cute, from director Alex Lehmann.

Meet Cute, I hear, is a wildly inventive deconstruction of the romantic comedy built around the question: What would you do if you could travel to your loved ones’ past, heal their traumas, fix their problems, and change them into the perfect partner?

Cuoco will star as Sheila and Davidson will play Gary, which is kinda cool. I’ve always thought he looked like a Gary. A chain-smoking Gary.

Noga Pnueli wrote the script, and it looks like it might be her first feature screenplay credit, so that’s pretty cool.

It’s important to note that the deal has not closed, so things could still fall apart, however once things start leaking like this, there’s high chance the deal gets done.

We’ll keep you posted.

Pete Davidson’s ‘King of Staten Island’ Film Will Premiere On Demand Instead Of In Theaters

Another one bites the dust. The King of Staten Island, Universal’s semi-autobiographical comedy about Pete Davidson’s life, will not be released inside a theater near you.

Instead, it’ll be available to stream on June 12, just one week before it was originally scheduled to hit theaters.

Director Judd Apatow and Davidson announced the news in a video on Twitter. At one point, Davidson asks, “Am I still going to get an Oscar?’

The film was supposed to have its premiere at the SXSW festival in Austin back in March, but as we all know, the festival was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s the second Universal movie, following the studio’s animated adventure ‘Trolls World Tour,’ to experiment with premium video on demand while audiences are stuck at home during the pandemic.

The studio was apparently happy with the success of Trolls World Tour, so they decided to go the same route with King of Staten Island.

No trailer has been released, but you have to imagine that will be changing soon.

The comedy is loosely based off Davidson’s upbringing in the New York City borough, including losing his father during 9/11 and entering the world of stand-up comedy.

John Mulaney And Pete Davidson Talk About ‘The Mule’ With Clint Eastwood (VIDEO)

Clint Eastwood’s latest film, ‘The Mule‘ was released inside theaters a few weeks back and it’s quietly made over $100 million at the box office. It’s been weirdly successful. It’s almost as if everyone has watched it, but no one wants to talk about it.

And maybe that’s because Eastwood has two threesomes in the movie. That’s right, 88-year-old Clint Eastwood, who plays a 90-year-old drug courier in the movie, has two threesomes! I mean, one of the threesomes is simply implied, but the damage has already been done by that point.

The first people willing to talk about the movie were John Mulaney and Pete Davidson. During the ‘Weekend Update’ bit on SNL, Mulaney and Davidson talked about their screening of The Mule.

“This was a superhero movie for old people about a guy whose superpower is that he can drive unsupervised. Fulfilling another elderly grandpa fantasy: that a 90-year-old white man can do any job better than a Mexican, even when the job is Mexican drug trafficking.”

Watch their hilarious recap of the film below. It’s pretty funny, even if you haven’t watched the movie…
