Liam Neeson has already damaged his career by saying a little too much during an interview, and now Michelle Rodriguez might be next.

Neeson and Rodriguez co-starred in the thriller ‘Widows‘ together along with Viola Davis. And in the movie, Neeson and Davis kiss each other passionately.

During an interview with Vanity Fair on Wednesday, Rodriguez defended Neeson by saying he couldn’t possibly be racist because of how passionately he kissed Davis during the movie.

“It’s all f—in’ bulls—. Liam Neeson is not a racist. Dude, have you watched ‘Widows’? His tongue was so far down Viola Davis’s throat. You can’t call him a racist ever. Racists don’t make out with the race that they hate, especially in the way he does with his tongue — so deep down her throat. I don’t care how good of an actor you are. It’s all bulls—. Ignore it. He’s not a racist. He’s a loving man. It’s all lies.”

I’m no expert in history, but didn’t ~white masters~ rape their slaves? I’m just saying. I don’t think kissing a person outside your race makes you not racist. That’s a pretty sad defense.

For what it’s worth, it looks like most people don’t agree with Rodriguez. Lionsgate canceled Tuesday night’s red carpet premiere for Neeson’s upcoming film ‘Cold Pursuit‘. The film, which features Neeson playing yet another character looking for revenge, is set to open today (Feb. 8).

If you’ve been following this site, then you know we’re not huge fans of the Fast & Furious franchise. It’s basically everything wrong with Hollywood at the moment.

Even one of the stars of the franchise is getting tired of it all. Michelle Rodriguez, who has played Vin Diesel’s love interest Letty Ortiz in the past six films, has threatened to leave the franchise if they don’t start focusing more on the female characters.

She went on her Instagram account to spread the message:

“F8 is out digitally today, I hope they decide to show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one. Or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise. It’s been a good ride & Im grateful for the opportunity the fans & studio have provided over the years… One Love.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time Rodriguez has slammed the franchise for treating its female characters as sex objects. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly back in May, she said:

“I’ve been making movies with Jordana [Brewster], who plays the sister of Dom Toretto, for 16 years and I can count on one hand how many lines I’ve had to her. I think that’s pathetic and it’s lack of creativity. Guys don’t know what girls talk about. They think that girls just sit around talking about guys and it’s a sad truth of men being the dominant writers in Hollywood.”

She’s not saying anything we don’t know. The franchise is sh*t. Hopefully she doesn’t let the money seduce her again. She should quit. They all should quit. The world does not need anymore Fast & Furious movies.
