If you are fan of the 2001 comedy Zoolander, then you will probably find this news exciting. If you are not a fan of the movie, then what the heck is wrong with you?

Rumors of a Zoolander sequel have been floating around the internet for years now, and it finally looks like things are coming together. Will Ferrell recently confirmed that he will be back as the scene-stealing fashion designer, Mugatu.

Ferrell told joblo.com the following…

“We are actually supposed to do a read-through of a sequel script soon, and Mugatu is a part of it.”

This coincides with what Justin Theroux said last month during an interview with Vulture.com

“We’ve got a script for the sequel, and we’ve just been in talks again. We’re trying to sharpen it and hone it and, actually, I don’t want to jinx anything, but it looks like it actually might be starting to get up and running.”

Zoolander 2 will reportedly follow Derek (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson) as they compete against younger models as a rival company tries to take them out of the business.

The first Zoolander film took in just over $60 million at the global box office, which is not bad for such a unique comedy.
