As you all know a sequel to the 2009 hit movie ‘Zombieland‘ has been in development for a long time. After a lot of false starts, production is finally moving forward. Filming has started in Atlanta and the film is expected to hit theaters October 11, 2019.
It was announced on Tuesday that the official title is Zombieland Double Tap. The official Twitter account also released the first poster for the movie, which is a clever remake of the original poster from 10 years ago.

So what else do we know about this sequel? Well, according to a report from Deadline, Rosario Dawson will be joining the cast, as well as Zoey Deutch and Avan Jogia.
“Written by original Zombieland scribes Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese, the sequel centers on the comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland. The zombie slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. Most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.”
As mentioned above, Zombieland Double Tap will hit theaters October 11, 2019.
