We have some good and bad news for all you ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ fans out there. The third installment in the franchise was scheduled to begin production in the next few months, but obviously that’s not happening now that Marvel/Disney fired James Gunn.
It was revealed recently that the release date might be pushed back to 2021. That’s the bad news. You still have to wait over two years for the third movie.
The good news is we know Marvel wants to move forward with this film because it now has a working title. According to the reports, the third movie is titled ‘Hot Christmas,’ which seems to suggest it might be released around the holidays.
But working titles are tricky. Sometimes they hint at things and then sometimes they’re just completely random placeholders, so don’t get your hopes up on a Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special.
We will continue to keep you posted, though. There will be lots to update regarding this movie. Who will the new director be? Will they be adding anyone to the cast? Lots of questions.
