You know from our “10 Incredible Actors Who Have Never Won An Oscar” post that the great Leonardo DiCaprio still hasn’t won an Oscar. He’s one of the best actors in Hollywood and has starred in some of the best movies, but for some reason he just can’t seem to grab that Oscar gold.
Some people believe his luck might change with his new movie, The Revenant. You can already hear the Oscar bees buzzing about this film, and it makes sense because this project is dripping with honey.
The director of the film? Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu. The man who won the best director Oscar at the 87th Academy Awards for his work on Birdman. And then you throw in Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy? Of course this movie is going to be great.
Okay, okay. But what exactly is The Revenant? Well, you can check out the official synopsis below. But really, you don’t even need to know. That’s how good this trailer is. It doesn’t feature much dialogue, but that’s because it doesn’t need it. It looks so beautiful. In some strange way, I am physically attracted to this trailer. I feel like touching myself.
It will hit theaters December 25 for a limited release before it goes wide on January 8.
