You don’t have to like it, but don’t you dare try to stop it. Hollywood wants to squeeze more money out of your nostalgia-filled piggy bank by releasing Kindergarten Cop 2 later this year. The film won’t be released inside theaters. It’s scheduled to arrive on DVD and digital HD May 17, so at least you won’t have to put on pants to watch it.
Of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger is not in this sequel/remake. 58-year-old actor Dolph Lundgren will be taking his place. The basic premise hasn’t changed for this second film; however, they are trying to add a little bit of freshness to the story by throwing in the politically correct environment we now see in schools across the country.
This according to Entertainment Weekly…
“The 58-year-old actor plays an FBI agent assigned to hunt down sensitive stolen data. While undercover as a kindergarten teacher, the gruff, old-school Agent Reed finds himself at odds with the school’s liberal, politically correct environment.”
I can see how that might create some funny moments. I’ll probably watch the film when it gets released because I am weak.
You can watch the trailer below…if you want. It’s your life. I’m sure you have better things to do.
