Milla Jovovich starred in six ‘Resident Evil‘ films from 2002 to 2016, and now in 2020, she’s switched to another video game adaptation, Monster Hunter.
Much like the Resident Evil films, this movie is being directed by Jovocich’s husband, Paul W.S. Anderson.
Monster Hunter follows Jovovich’s Captain Artemis and her team as they’re transported to an alternate universe where monsters reign supreme. Without any knowledge of how to kill monsters, Artemis and her unit partner with a mysterious man named Hunter (Tony Jaa). Alongside Hunter, it’s up to the team to figure out a way to fight and destroy the various monsters they encounter to protect their home.
Doesn’t really sound like my cup of tea, but perhaps it’s of interest to you, especially if you were a fan of the Resident Evil film franchise. It’s basically the same cast & crew.
Monster Hunter is supposed to hit theaters this December, but it could be delayed.
