We have all been waiting to see how Rami Malek would look and sound as Freddie Mercury in the long-awaited Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, and we’re happy to report the wait is over.
After months of being teased with photos from set, we are finally getting our first real look at the movie.
The teaser trailer was released this week by 20th Century Fox and even though you only hear Malek speak twice, it’s still enough to know he’s going to absolutely rock the role.
“The movie traverses Queen’s rise from the 1970s through their triumphant set at 1985’s Live Aid, six years before Mercury died of complications from AIDS. The new trailer features concert scenes interspersed with the group cutting songs in the studio. It also features a mash-up of several Queen classics, including ‘Killer Queen,’ ‘We Will Rock You’ and the film’s namesake.”
In addition to Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody will also star Ben Hardy, Gwilym Lee, and Lucy Boynton. It’s expected to hit theaters November 2, and who knows, maybe it’ll land Malek a Best Actor nomination.
