The ‘Ghostbusters‘ franchise is continuing, even after the failed all-female Ghostbusters reboot in 2016. Although, I guess it’s not fair to say “failed” since it still made nearly $230 million. The reaction was simply lukewarm though.
Columbia Pictures/Sony are hoping for a better outcome with this upcoming ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife‘ film, which is supposedly a direct sequel to the original Ghostbusters films.
Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Sigourney Weaver will reprise their roles. They’ll be joined by Paul Rudd, Finn Wolfhard and Carrie Coon.
The teaser, released Monday morning, follows a broke, young mom (played by “The Sinner” star Carrie Coon, 38) and her two kids (“Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard, 16, and “Fuller House” actress Mckenna Grace, 13), who flee to Oklahoma to start a new life with help from a notable ancestor.
‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ will hit theaters July 10, 2020. Check out the trailer below…[mashshare]
