Wait, What? There Is A ‘Ghostbusters 3’ Teaser Trailer? Check It Out Inside (VIDEO)

Uh, this is a little confusing. Last night, it was revealed that Sony Pictures is developing a new ‘Ghostbusters‘ film that is scheduled to be released in 2020. According to the report, original ‘Ghostbusters’ director Ivan Reitman’s son Jason Reitman will be directing.

Not even 24 hours after the news was announced, a teaser trailer was released. Now it’s important to note that this trailer doesn’t actually have any scenes from the upcoming movie, ’cause well, they haven’t started filming yet.

But it does give us some clues as to what this movie will be about…

“For one, we know it takes place in present day, but this teaser suggests that the Ecto 1 and thus the Ghostbusters have either been gone or in hiding for quite some time. The teaser suggests that someone is tinkering with some equipment in this creepy barn, finally revealing the iconic vehicle under a tarp—although it looks pretty beat up.”

We also know that this sequel will completely ignore Paul Feig’s 2016 female-led reboot. We don’t know if the original cast will be returning, but you have to think at least some of the team will return. Maybe it’ll be a mixture of old cast members and new…similar to the whole Creed/Rocky saga.

The plan is to release this movie in the summer of 2020. Check out the teaser trailer below…
