Now that the depressing winter movie blues are behind us, we’re starting to get more trailers, and this Monday we were gifted two redband comedy trailers. These trailers have the same humor, the same naughty words, and even the same damn song, but they are completely different.
The first trailer, Good Boys, which was produced by Seth Rogen features Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon and Keith L. Williams. The R-rated comedy featuring 12-year-olds has a similar plot to The Sandlot in that the group of friends destroy a valuable item belonging to one of their dads and attempt to replace it before he gets back home.
The big difference being that instead of talking baseball and trading cards, the three friends in this film are talking sex and trading f-bombs.
Check out the trailer below. It’s scheduled to be released August 16, 2019.
Have a good laugh? Well, wait! We have one more trailer for you. The next trailer is for teen comedy film Booksmart, which was directed by Olivia Wilde. Yes, that Olivia Wilde.
This movie feels and looks like a female version of Superbad. Two loners in high school make it their mission to party it up during their final days of high school. The film just premiered at the SXSW festival, and it’s been getting great reviews from critics. It’s scheduled to hit theaters May 24, 2019..
WHICH TRAILER WAS FUNNIEST? That’s tough. The hardest I laughed was during the ‘Good Boys’ trailer when the dude made the ‘Stranger Things’ joke, but at the same time, it seems like watching kids curse every five seconds might get old.
I’m excited to watch both films, though. They both look entertaining and if you watch them inside a packed theater, it’ll only add to the experience. I always say comedies are best when you’re watching with a group of people. Laughter is contagious![mashshare]
