Several years ago, telling someone that Adam Sandler starred in the film was enough to make them want to buy a ticket. But after producing a string of awful movies, people are beginning to wonder if his best work is behind him.
Well, it looks like Adam Sandler is about to deliver in a big way. Sony Pictures released the first trailer for Chris Columbus’ latest film, Pixels, and it looks like it could be one of the most entertaining movies of the summer.
The film stars Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Josh Gad, Peter Dinklage and Michelle Monaghan. For those who haven’t heard much about the movie, it’s based on Patrick Jean’s short film in 2010. You can actually watch it by clicking here.
Here is some more information about the movie:
“In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ’80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Dinklage and Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.”
Sounds like a pretty fantastic idea, right? And the good news is that it doesn’t just sound like a good idea. The first trailer shows that it also looks like a great idea.
