Jeff Goldblum is one unique dude. He’s an actor, father, an accomplished jazz pianist, and living meme.

And it’s clear he’s embracing his strangeness in the upcoming film, The Mountain. The first trailer for the movie dropped this week, and there is something about it that just kinda pulls you in, but not exactly in a good way. It’s almost like a car crash.

Set in the 1950s, the story centers on Goldblum’s character, Dr. Wallace Fiennes, who goes on a tour of sorts to promote lobotomies as a treatment of asylum patients.

Uh, okay. Yeah…sure. I’m down. I have no idea why I’m down, but I’m all about this flick.

Rick Alverson is the director behind this project. He co-wrote the script with Dustin Guy Defa, who is responsible for the indie project ‘Person to Person’ starring Michael Cera and Abbi Jacobson.

Check out the trailer for ‘The Mountain’ below. It’s expected to hit theaters July 26, 2019.
