Disney continues to pump out these live-action remakes of their most beloved films.

Back in July, they announced that Halle Bailey will be playing Ariel in the upcoming live-action remake of The Little Mermaid. The casting decision upset some people. Actually, not “some people” it just upset racists. That’s pretty much it. Everyone else was fine.

Ever since the casting news of Ariel, people have been waiting to see who would be playing the role of Prince Eric, and now several months later we finally have a name.

Newcomer Jonah Hauer-King will be playing Prince Eric in the upcoming flick.

At one point, Harry Styles was is in early talks for the role, but ended up passing. Hauer-King has had two screen tests, with the most recent occurring on Nov. 9 in London with director Rob Marshall.

The 24-year-old English actor has starred in a few miniseries in the U.K., but for the most part, he’s new to the game, at least here in the states.

In addition to Bailey and King, this movie will also star Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem and Daveed Diggs.

No release date has been announced, but filming is expected to begin in April 2020.
