The Lion King‘ might not have gotten the rave reviews Disney had hoped for, but it turns out, no one cared about the reviews.

Even with a paltry 53% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, The Lion King has already made $963 million across the globe. In just two weeks of being released, it’s already the fifth-biggest global release of the year.

It’ll most likely hit the $1 billion mark before this week is over, which means Disney will just get richer. It’s a pretty incredible run for the studio.

Toy Story 4 has made $918 million globally and Aladdin has made over a $1 billion. And Disney still has Frozen 2 and another Star Wars film coming later this year.

So far, Disney has made over $7.67 billion this year at the box office, which is a new record. They beat their previous record of $7.61 billion from 2016.

But like we said, they still have some huge releases to come.

Disney accounts for as much as 45 percent of the $16 billion-plus collected worldwide so far this year by movies released on more than 1,000 screens, including revenue from titles inherited following the Disney-Fox merger.

It’s a Disney world, we’re just living in it.
