The Oscar buzz is continuing for Joaquin Phoenix. His work in the upcoming ‘Joker’ film impressed critics and the general audience at the Venice Film Festival. Heck, it even surprised everyone by winning The Golden Lion award, which is the highest prize awarded at the festival.

Now the film is debuting at the Toronto International Film Festival, which means more critics are getting a chance to watch it.

And it’s safe to say, they are equally as impressed. You can check out some of the quick Twitter reactions below. It’s looking like Joaquin is definitely going to get a Best Actor nomination, which should be interesting because he has called the Oscars “bullsh*t” in the past.

By the way, Joker will hit theaters October 4, 2019.
