Watch Zach Braff And Gabrielle Union In First Trailer For ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ Remake

At this point, it feels like ‘Cheaper by the Dozen‘ has been remade more than a dozen times, and Hollywood shows no signs of slowing down.

Walt Disney Studios has released the first official trailer for this new take on ‘Cheaper By The Dozen’ nearly 20 years after the popular 2003 version of the story, and over 70 years after the original film was released in 1950. And that 1950 film came two years after the book, so yeah, lots of remaking going on here.

This new version of the film stars Zach Braff and Gabrielle Union.

Described as a fresh take on the 2003 film, Disney+’s Cheaper by the Dozen tells a funny and heartwarming story of the raucous exploits of a blended family of 12, the Bakers, as they navigate a hectic home life while simultaneously managing their family business.

Gail Lerner directed this movie, while Shawn Levy (the director of the 2003 film) stayed on board as an executive producer.

The movie will hit Disney+ on March 18, 2022. Check out the trailer below…

Zach Braff Joins As Late Addition To The Cast Of New Line’s Sci-Fi Rom-Com ‘Moonshot’

New Line’s upcoming sci-fi romantic comedy ‘Moonshot‘ is already in production with Chris Winterbauer in the director’s chair. And even though filming started a couple weeks ago, there’s still one more actor set to join the cast.

It’s being reported that Zach Braff has joined the team. He’ll be acting alongside Emily Rudd, Cole Sprouse, Lana Condor and Lukas Gage.

Moonshot is set in a future where Mars has been terraformed and colonized by the best that humanity has to offer. Two very different college students wind up joining forces and sneaking aboard a space shuttle in order to be united with their significant others who were already sent to Mars. According to the report, Braff has been cast as the mastermind behind the effort to colonize Mars, a visionary entrepreneur.

The script was written by Max Taxe, and it looks like this will be his first produced feature. It’ll also be Winterbauer’s first major feature. He previously directed the indie flick Wyrm. So there is a fresh crew involved here with a lot to prove.

It’s been a big week for Braff. Not only did he land this job, but he was also nominated for an Emmy for directing an episode of the hit comedy series Ted Lasso. He previously directed the 2004 film Garden State, as well as the 2014 flick Wish I Was Here.

No word on when ‘Moonshot’ is set to be released, but we’re assuming sometime early next year.

Zach Braff Will Join Gabrielle Union In Upcoming ‘Cheaper By The Dozen’ Remake

What are the two things Hollywood loves most right now? Remakes and multiracial/blended families.

And with Disney’s upcoming ‘Cheaper By The Dozen‘ remake, they have a two birds one stone situation going on.

It was just announced that Zach Braff will co-star alongside Gabrielle Union in the Disney+ remake.

The story centers on a multiracial, blended family of 12, navigating a hectic home life while managing their family business.

‘Black-ish’ creator Kenya Barris wrote the script for this reimagining, and Gail Lerner will direct. They plan to release the film sometime in 2022, so it’s likely filming will begin later this year.

The original ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ was released in 1950 and was based on the autobiographical book by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey. Decades later, 20th Century Fox gave the property another spin in 2003 with a movie starring Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt as the parents to the unusually populous Baker clan.

It’s a story that keeps on giving! It may sound like I’m hating, but I really did enjoy the 2003 remake, and I’m sure this upcoming movie will be just as good.
