Will Smith and Margot Robbie featured in new sexier ‘Focus’ Trailer along with 2 New Movie Posters

focus-will-smith-margot-robbie

As avid movie goers we love Will Smith and it’s been way too long since we had a movie that we could really get the full “Smith-ness” out of him. You know what I mean. Smith does his best work playing down to earth relate-able characters; A role which we have not seen him perform in quite some time. Even as Hancock, he was a super relateable. ‘After Earth, I could care less about and ‘Men in Black 3’ was a cheap, sloppy obvious money grab.

His latest effort, ‘Focus’ promises to deliver a whole lotta Smith, in the exact way we love him. He is funny, smooth, slick and adorably handsome. He plays the role of a con man aside the beautiful Margot Robbie, in a movie half filmed in beautiful Buenos Aires. What more can we ask for? I know, how about a decent script?

The script is written by Crazy Stupid Love directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. This by no means guarantees a good script. The pair has written Cats & Dogs, Bad Santa and The Bad News Bears so basically they are 1 for 3 in that regard (you can choose the 1 from the three listed). If Ficarra and Requa can half deliver, Smith and Robbie should be able to take even a mediocre script and make a decent movie with their sex appeal alone.

Here are two new posters and a new trailer to hold you over until the movie’s February 27th release.

[toggle title=”Official Synopsis”]Will Smith stars as Nicky, a seasoned master of misdirection who becomes romantically involved with novice con artist Jess (Margot Robbie). As he’s teaching her the tricks of the trade, she gets too close for comfort and he abruptly breaks it off. Three years later, the former flame—now an accomplished femme fatale—shows up in Buenos Aires in the middle of the high stakes racecar circuit. In the midst of Nicky’s latest, very dangerous scheme, she throws his plans for a loop…and the consummate con man off his game.

“Focus” is written and directed by Glenn Ficarra & John Requa (“Crazy, Stupid, Love.”). Denise Di Novi (“Crazy, Stupid, Love.”) is the producer, with Charlie Gogolak and Stan Wlodkowski serving as executive producers.[/toggle]

Enjoy!

Sony Hack Reveals Plans For Insane Crossover Movie Between Jump Street And Men in Black

jump

This Sony Pictures hack has revealed some extremely strange and surprising information. For example, there is only one female Sony employee earning more than $1 million. There is a very concerning gender and racial discrepancy among Sony’s highest-paid employees.

The leaked documents revealed that the list of Sony’s highest-paid executives is 94% male and 88% white. This leaked information makes Chris Rock’s recent essay on Hollywood’s race problem even more interesting.

But let’s switch gears to something even more depressing than sexism and racism. Leaked emails have revealed that Sony is planning on making a crossover movie between the Men in Black and Jump Street franchises. The film, which does not have a script yet, is set up for 2016 or 2017 release.

And since there is no script, we obviously don’t have too many details on this potential disaster; however, we do know Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will not star in the film. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will be back, and Jonah Hill is apparently excited about the idea.

The actor sent an email to studio head Amy Pascal saying, “jump street merging with mib i think that’s clean and rad and powerful.”

Chris Miller and Phil Lord are currently working on the script and will reportedly produce the film. It’s also being reported that Sony wants Steven Spielberg to participate in the making of this movie.

What do you think? Would you watch it?

Will Smith Leads as Warner Bros. Announces the Official All-Star Cast of Suicide Squad.

Will-Smith-Tom-Hardy-Cara-Delevingne-More-Sign-On-For-Suicide-Squad

This is as big as it gets in terms of Super Hero Movie news. In fact movie news in general.

Warner Bros. Pictures has confirmed today that they have finalized the actors who will be portraying the Suicide Squad in the new action adventure.

The President of Warner Bros. , Greg Silverman was overjoyed to make the announcement to the press today. Silverman stated,

The Warner Bros. roots are deep on this one. David Ayer returns to the studio where he wrote ‘Training Day’ and brings his incredible ability to craft multidimensional villains to this iconic DC property with a cast of longtime Warner collaborators Will Smith and Tom Hardy, and other new and returning favorites: Margot, Jared, Jai and Cara. We look forward to seeing this terrific ensemble, under Ayer’s amazing guidance, give new meaning to what it means to be a villain and what it means to be a hero.”

I’m sure he had visions of yachts and mansions dancing in his head as he and the rest of the world know that this movie will be huge.

If you are not familiar with the story of Suicide Squad think the A-Team working for the government.  They are basically a bunch of supervillains with a pardon to work for the government. They are sent on missions that are too dangerous for people who actually value their life.  Because of their blatant disregard for life and the living, there is usually a high body count involved in any mission they complete.

Shooting for the film will start in April with the plans to wrap in September. The target release date has been set at August 5, 2016. Mark that on your calendar.

Here is the cast as confirmed – Warner Bros. is taking this very serious.

David Ayer’s ‘Suicide Squad’ Is Targeting Major Talent, Including Ryan Gosling And Will Smith!

Yesterday the internet exploded when Warner Bros. released their entire slate of DC Comics film adaptations. Everyone knew they were going to respond to all the attention Marvel has been receiving lately, but no one expected them to unveil the impressive list down below.

The press release yesterday morning revealed the following…

“And, in a massive expansion of the Studio’s DC Entertainment-branded content, Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema will release a slate of at least 10 movies–as well as stand-alone Batman and Superman films–from 2016 through 2020 that expands this prized universe of characters:

“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
“Suicide Squad” directed by David Ayer (2016)
“Wonder Woman” starring Gal Gadot (2017)
“Justice League Part One” directed by Zack Snyder (2017)
“The Flash” starring Ezra Miller (2018)
“Aquaman” (2018)
“Shazam” (2019)
“Justice League Part Two” directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
“Cyborg” (2020)
“Green Lantern” (2020)”

Exciting news, right? How could this news get even better? What if we told you that Ryan Gosling, Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Tom Hardy might star in Suicide Squad?

That’s a pretty impressive cast. A little too impressive. It seems unlikely that every casting wish will come true for David Ayer, but then again his upcoming film Fury stars Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf and Michael Pena. It’s important to remember that neither Ryan Gosling nor Will Smith have signed anything. The report just states that they have been approached, along with Tom Hardy and Margot Robbie.

We will keep you updated as we learn more information.

Watch the Trailer: Will Smith’s ‘Focus’ looks Smart and Edgy, and also stars super Hot Margot Robbie!

focus

Will Smith aka Mr. 4th of July hasn’t smashed the box office in a long time. Although I’m a huge fan of his, he hasn’t had his good stuff since 2008’s under-rated ‘Seven Pounds’. Although he would never say it, Smith has a lot riding on ‘Focus’. Does he have the career longevity of Denzel or is he just another rapper turned actor?

‘Focus’ will be Smith’s first R-rated effort since ‘Bad Boys II’. The movie is directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, the duo who did ‘Crazy, Stupid Love’, but more importantly they also wrote the classic ‘Bad Santa’.

We also see the ridiculously beautiful Margot Robbie, who we probably saw last in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’. Smith plays a con man by the name of Nicky Spurgeon. He takes Robbie’s character under his wing and doing so falls for her all while trying to pull off the biggest con of his career. If the trailer is any indication and if the studio handles promotions correctly, Will Smith will be Back. However we won’t have to wait until July. ‘Focus’ is set to release on February 27, 2015.

Kevin Hart’s “The Wedding Ringer” Gets New Trailer, Watch It Here!

wedding-ringer-trailer-09252014-131210

Screen Gems has released the second trailer for The Wedding Ringer, which stars Kevin Hart and Josh Gad. In the film, Hart runs a business helping friendless guys prepare for their weddings. They write him a check, and he becomes their best man for the big day.

Josh Gad will be playing the role of the socially challenged man who not only needs a best man, but also nine groomsmen. Kevin Hart’s character agrees to take on this challenge, but it looks like he may have bitten off more than he can chew.

The film also stars Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Cloris Leachman and Jenifer Lewis. The plot sounds similar to Will Smith’s romantic comedy, Hitch.

A successful ladies’ man agrees to help out an overweight, dorky white dude impress a hot blonde chick.

Even though it appears to lack originality, I will probably still go see it. The trailer looks decent, plus, Kevin Hart’s character doesn’t look outrageously overdone this time.

The film will be at a theater near you January 16, 2015.

“Bad Boys 3” is Coming. Martin Lawrence Confirms that Bruckheimer is Working on the Script!

la-et-mn-bad-boys-3-confirmed-martin-lawrence--001
Last year we learned that super producer Jerry Bruckheimer was working on scripts for a few franchises including Beverly Hills Cop 4 and Top Gun 2. In the same discussions it was also mentioned that there would possibly be a Bad Boys 3 and a Pirates of the Caribbean 5. That was the last we heard of Bad Boys 3 until Wednesday night.

Martin Lawrence was on “Conan” Wednesday night and Conan flat out asked him if there was going to be a Bad Boys 3 movie. Martin shocked everyone with his answer,

“I believe so, yes. I just talked to Jerry Bruckheimer yesterday and he said it’s real; they’re working on the script, they’re getting close, and it all looks good.”

SO IS WILL SMITH CONFIRMED?

That’s the big question and Will is the bigger star. Although Lawrence didn’t come outright and say that Smith had confirmed, he hinted as such. When Conan asked to make a cameo appearance in the movie, Marin replied,

“I will mention to Will Smith and Jerry Bruckheimer that Conan wants a cameo in the movie,”

My interpretation of that is that Smith is on board, or at least Jerry Bruckheimer and Martin think so.

Although the Bad Boys films received bad reviews, the two installments grossed over $414 Million. Martin’s last movie was 2011’s “Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son” and Smith’s last starring role was in 2013’s disappointing “After Earth”. Another Bad Boy’s movie could be just what these two need to boost their big screen careers again.

Here is the clip of Martin on Conan.
