Watch First Official Full-Length Trailer For Rob Zombie’s ‘The Munsters’

It’s time to get excited, folks. Ever since it was announced that Rob Zombie was adapting the beloved 1960s sitcom, The Munsters, we have been waiting and waiting for that first trailer.

And after the little tease of a trailer that was released a month ago, we’re finally getting our first real look at the movie with the full length trailer below.

Written and directed by the helmer of House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil’s Reject, The Munsters stars Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Zombie’s wife, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster and Dan Roebuck as Grandpa Munster.

Unlike most of Zombie’s previous films, this flick will be appropriate for all ages. It’s been a passion project of his for quite some time, so you can imagine how excited he is to have it completed.

‘The Munsters’ will be released in September, and it should provide some quality entertainment… at least if you’re into more “campy” projects.

Watch The First Teaser Trailer For Rob Zombie’s ‘The Munsters’ Film

When you think Rob Zombie, you think blood and guts. The musician/filmmaker is known for making some pretty gruesome slasher flicks, but ‘The Munsters‘ will not be one of those films.

Zombie is taking a more lighthearted approach to the horror genre with his upcoming take on the beloved ’60s sitcom.

The director recently told Entertainment Weekly that he didn’t want to change the vibe found in the original show…

Yeah, it’s 100 percent in the spirit of the show. I didn’t want it to be different. I wanted to totally retain the vibe that it had in the ’60s.

The family-friendly flick stars Zombie’s wife, Sheri Moon, as Lily Munster, the matriarch of the Munster household. Jeff Daniel Phillips plays Herman, and Daniel Roebuck will be taking the Grandpa role.

Zombie said he based casting on certified chemistry…

I wanted to cast people that had worked together a lot. I couldn’t risk getting on set in Budapest and going, my leads aren’t getting along, they have no chemistry. So that’s why I chose the cast I chose. Jeff Daniel Phillips and Sheri Moon Zombie and Daniel Roebuck, they work together a lot and I knew they would just fall right into it.

The Munsters is set to be released this fall. No word on an exact release date, but we’ll keep you posted. Check out the teaser below…

Rob Zombie Surprises Fans By Declaring ‘Munsters’ Reboot Will Be Rated PG

Rob Zombie is known for his gory films, but the filmmaker insists his upcoming reboot of ‘The Munsters‘ will not feature the violent and twisted part of his brain.

He announced on Instagram that the film will be rated PG, which means it’ll be more family-oriented than any film Zombie has made before.

For those of you speculating, wondering and assuming that ‘The Munsters’ would be dirty, violent and nasty…well, you are wrong. It’s all good down on Mockingbird Lane.

The source material is of course the successful sitcom, which gained popularity in the 1960s. The sitcom was family-friendly, but some people believed Zombie’s involvement in the film reboot would mean they were going dark with the movie.

He announced last summer that he was given the all clear to write and direct the reimagining. Filming has been going down these past few months, and some people believe the movie could be released as soon as October 2022.

Although, there is a possibility it gets pushed back to 2023. We’ll keep you posted. Sources say it looks like a streaming play at this point, which means a theatrical release is not likely.
