Just five months after the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of ‘Rust’, Alec Baldwin is preparing to make his comeback in a pair of Italian Christmas movies.
According to a report from Deadline, Alec and his brother William are flying to Italy to shoot Kid Santa and Billie’s Magic World, two live-action and animation hybrid comedy films from filmmaker Francesco Cinquemani.
Alec and Francesco previously worked together on the 2015 sci-fi movie, Andron, which also starred Danny Glover.
Filming has now begun in Italian capital Rome on the two projects. The news was first reported by Italian news org ANSA.
I honestly thought it’d be at least a year until Alec was able to return to a set, but hey, people heal in different ways. You can’t really make a judgement there.
As most of you know, in late October, Hutchins was shot and killed by a live bullet in a prop gun, which was discharged by Baldwin. The bullet also hit the film’s director, but he suffered only minor injuries.
The family of Hutchins is currently suing Baldwin and several other people involved in the production of the film.
