Check Out Lady Gaga And Adam Driver In First Trailer For ‘House of Gucci’

The first trailer for ‘House of Gucci’ has been released, featuring Adam Driver and Lady Gaga as Mr. and Mrs. Gucci.

House of Gucci is inspired by the unbelievably shocking true story of the family empire behind the Italian fashion house of Gucci.

Gaga plays socialite Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio’s ex-wife who was tried and convicted of orchestrating his murder after he left her for a younger woman. She served 18 years in prison, where she gained the nickname Black Widow, before being released in 2016.

The film was directed by Ridley Scott, who is perhaps best known for his sci-fi work. He’s the director behind Alien, Blade Runner and The Martian.

House of Gucci was written by Roberto Bentivegna, based on Sara Gay Forden’s book ‘The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.’ The star-studded cast also includes Al Pacino, Jared Leto and Jeremy Irons.

It’s set to hit theaters November 24, and you can bet they’re hoping it’ll be an awards contender. It’s difficult to see how it wouldn’t be, with Scott directing and a cast that includes Al Pacino, Driver, Gaga and Irons.

Watch Matt Damon And Adam Driver In First Trailer For Ridley Scott’s Latest Film ‘The Last Duel’

Four-time Academy Award-nominated director Ridley Scott is back with another potential masterpiece. The 83-year-old is the director behind ‘The Last Duel’ which was co-written by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Nicole Holofcener.

The historical epic stars Damon, Affleck, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer and Harriet Walter.

Set during the Hundred Years War, Carrouges is a respected knight known for his bravery and skill on the battlefield. Le Gris is a Norman squire whose intelligence and eloquence make him one of the most admired nobles in court. When Carrouges’ wife, Marguerite, is viciously assaulted by Le Gris, a charge he denies, she refuses to stay silent, stepping forward to accuse her attacker, an act of bravery and defiance that puts her life in jeopardy. The ensuing trial by combat, a grueling duel to the death, places the fate of all three in God’s hands.

Lots going on there, and historical epics aren’t typically my jam, but with this ridiculously talented crew…I’m still excited to check it out.

The Last Duel is set to hit theaters October 15, 2021, and it should make a huge splash at the box office.

THAT WAS FAST! New Trailer For ‘All The Money In The World’ Features Christopher Plummer Replacing Kevin Spacey

Things move fast in Hollywood. Real fast. It was just last month that we found out Kevin Spacey was a huge creep, who allegedly tried to seduce a 14-year-old boy several years ago. He was fired from his Netflix show, House of Cards, and more surprisingly, he was completely removed from his upcoming film, All the Money in the World.

We say surprising, ’cause the movie is scheduled to be released December 22. It’s a little late in the production game to be removing an actor, and replacing him with a new one, but director Ridley Scott managed to do it.

Christopher Plummer was hired this month to reshoot Spacey’s scenes in the film, and it looks like they’re already finished with the reshoots. A new teaser trailer has been released, which shows Plummer in character…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XtXMAv1dek

Crazy, right? It’s like Spacey was never involved. By the way, Scott talked for the first time about his decision to replace Spacey in the film.

He talked to Entertainment Weekly and explained Plummer was his first, second choice.

“You have to know who you’re going to go for [to recast the role] and if he’s available. Chris [Plummer] was always on the list. So you find that out, but quietly, because you don’t want it going around. I flew into New York and met with [Plummer] and he said yes. So then we had to figure out if everyone else would be available to fit in these new days of shooting. Miraculously, they were. Before you can make the decision you have to make these quick phone calls around — not to the actors directly, but to the agents — saying there’s a possibility I may need some pickups [a.k.a. additional shooting days]. You don’t say why because of the gossip, but of course it was really for something much more significant.”

Kevin Spacey Is Being Removed From His Film, Christopher Plummer Will Take Over His Role In ‘All The Money In The World’

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6x62O8A8qHw

Damn. Hollywood is not playing around no more. Kevin Spacey, who has seen his career crumble following sexual assault allegations by several men, will now be completely removed from his next film.

That’s to be expected, right? Of course they would remove him, but here is the twist…the movie has already been filmed! Ridley Scott’s All The Money In The World, is scheduled to be released December 22, and now the crew is rushing to remove Spacey.

According to a report from Deadline, Christopher Plummer has been hired to replace Spacey in the role of J. Paul Getty. Re-shoots of the important scenes will take place immediately.

“In a unified front, the cast and crew of the film, and Sony Pictures, unanimously agreed to re-shoot all of Spacey’s scenes, with Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams’ cooperation part of the mix.”

Reports say Spacey worked on the movie for a total of 8-10 days, but his character has some extremely important scenes, so the re-shoots are necessary.

What’s interesting is that Mark Wahlberg is the star of this movie. For those who don’t know, he has done some pretty f**ked up sh*t in his past as well. He beat two Vietnamese men in the head while attempting to rob a convenience store back in 1988. Two years before that, he and a group of his friends threw rocks and shouted racial slurs at a group of black 4th grade students.

“Wahlberg and two friends received civil rights injunction and were told they would be sent to jail if they committed another hate crime, which is what happened after the 1988 attempted robbery.”

Hm. Strange how we forgive some people, but not others…huh?

Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott And Clint Eastwood Could Dramatically Change The Oscar Race This Year

We are just a few months away from Oscar release season. November/December is when a lot of quality movies are released, in hopes of getting an Oscar nomination. And you’d think, considering we are less than three months away from November, that we would know every movie that’s being considered.

But this year is special. Three legendary directors are racing to the finish line. Steven Spielberg’s latest film, The Papers, didn’t get the green light until February of this year. The project, which is about “the Washington Post, the Pentagon Papers, and a watershed moment in the history of press freedom,” was filmed this summer and just wrapped in July. The studio is hoping to release it late in the Oscar season on December 22, 2017.

Ridley Scott is going down the same road with his film All the Money in the World. This project was still casting in February, and no one thought it’d be released this year, but Sony Pictures surprised everyone by announcing a limited release on December 8, 2017. The film is based on the 1973 kidnapping of 16-year-old John Paul Getty III. It stars Michelle Williams, Kevin Spacey and Mark Wahlberg.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!

Now we have a third entry, and it’s the most surprising one. Clint Eastwood is known for his short filming schedules, but this is still pretty crazy. In April of this year, the 87-year-old director announced his next project would be The 15:17 to Paris, which is about the 2015 Thalys train attack in France and the childhood friends who thwarted it.

He started filming it a few weeks ago, and he’s already about to wrap production. Editing will begin soon, and Warner Bros. is expected to release it at the end of this year. This is not official yet, so things could change, but if everything goes as planned? Well, it’s going to be a very interesting December.

Ridley Scott Claims He Could Make Six More ‘Alien’ Films, And He’ll Be Ready To Go Next Year

Alien: Covenant‘ won’t hit theaters until May 19, but director Ridley Scott is already thinking about the next six films in the franchise.

The 79-year-old director told the Sydney Morning Herald that he could make six more Alien films, and if this upcoming movie is a box office hit, he’ll be ready to go next year with a sequel.

“If you really want a franchise, I can keep cranking it for another six. I’m not going to close it down again. No way. You don’t want a two-year gap (between films). So I’ll be ready to go again next year.”

If he actually does make six more films, that would bring the total number of prequels to eight, and the entire series would come in at 12.

It would be incredible if he can pull it off, but we’re not sure it’s possible. Like we mentioned above, he’s 79-years-old, so if somehow he managed to release a new film every single year, he’d still be 85 or 86 by the end. That’s a pretty demanding schedule for someone his age.

Although, Clint Eastwood has pumped out five films in the past six years, and he’s 86-years-old, so I guess anything is possible.

The First Trailer For The Next ‘Alien’ Film Is Here, And It Is Quite Chilling (VIDEO)

The last week of December is honestly one of the most difficult for movie bloggers. There isn’t a lot of news to talk about right now. It’ll pick back up next month with the upcoming award shows, but right now? It’s like going through a buffet line right after a team of NFL players smash it.

This is why we’re showing you a trailer that was released back on Saturday. Most of you have probably seen it, but hopefully not all of you.

The first ‘Alien: Covenant‘ trailer surprised fans this past holiday weekend. Ridley Scott has (of course) returned to direct this sequel to 2012’s Prometheus. In this sequel, the crew of colony ship Covenant discover what they believe to be uncharted paradise.

But you know, it’s not. There are dangerous creatures and sh*t. In this movie, you’ll find mediocre performances from Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Katherine Waterston and Danny McBride.

It will hit a theater near you on May 19, 2017. Check out the official synopsis and trailer below.

“Headed toward a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew members of the colony ship Covenant discover what they believe to be an uncharted paradise, but it is actually a dark, menacing world in which the only inhabitant is the synthetic David (Michael Fassbender), a survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”

‘The Martian’ VFX Before & After Photos Are Super Interesting, Check Them Out Inside!

The Martian has clearly been a huge success. I watched it last weekend and absolutely loved it. Our movie expert reviewed it and almost gave it a perfect score, and most importantly it opened with a $55 million total at the box office, coming extremely close to becoming the highest-grossing October debut in history.

After watching the movie with some friends, they all came out of the movie believing every scene filmed on “Mars” was filmed against greenscreen. And while there were a lot of scenes featuring that (mainly inside Watney’s base), there were actually some scenes filmed in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan.

The one issue filmmakers had with the location? Getting the correct color of Mars. After tinkering with the images, and comparing them with the images NASA has produced, they finally discovered a nice balance.

But as mentioned above, the greenscreen stage did play a big role in this film. Most every scene featuring his base on Mars was shot at the soundstages in Korda Studios in Budapest.

Brand New Trailer For ‘The Martian’ Has Been Released, Check It Out Inside!

There will be some great films coming to a theater near you this fall/winter, and one of the films I am most excited to see is Ridley Scott’s, The Martian. The first trailer was released back in June. I told you at the time that “you will not want to miss this one,” and I believe that even more now after watching the second trailer.

Some of the scenes have been recycled from the first trailer, but there are some new scenes featured in this trailer. In addition to the new scenes, they’ve also included some pretty funky music.

As most of you know, the film is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Andy Weir. The brilliant Ridley Scott is the director behind this project. Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Jeff Daniels star.

The Martian doesn’t hit theaters until October 2, so you still have more than a month to prepare yourself for the greatness. You can check out the official synopsis and the second trailer below…

“During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and is left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. With only meager supplies, he must draw upon his ingenuity, wit and spirit to subsist and find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive. Millions of miles away, NASA and a team of international scientists work tirelessly to bring “the Martian” home, while his crewmates concurrently plot a daring, if not impossible rescue mission.”

Matt Damon Fights For His Life On Mars In First Trailer For ‘The Martian’

Legendary director Ridley Scott appears to have another hit with the upcoming science-fiction film, The Martian. Drew Goddard (Cloverfield) is the writer behind the project, which stars an impressive list of actors, including Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig, Kate Mara and Jeff Daniels.

The Martian is based on the best-selling novel by Andy Weir, and those who have read the book describe it as Apollo 13 meets Cast Away. That probably got your attention, right?

The first trailer for the movie shows Matt Damon as NASA astronaut Mark Watney, a botanist and mechanical engineer, who gets stranded on Mars after his crew is forced to leave the planet due to a dust storm with dangerously high winds.

Damon’s character notes in the trailer that it would take “four years for another manned mission to reach me, so in the face of overwhelming odds I’m left with only one option: I’m gonna have to science the sh-t out of this.”

You can check out the official synopsis and trailer below. The film hits theaters October 2, 2015. You will not want to miss this one.
