Mark Wahlberg might be the latest movie star to join forces with Netflix. According to multiple reports, the 48-year-old actor is in talks to star in and produce a spy action film titled, Our Man in New Jersey.
If the deal closes, Wahlberg would play a “a blue-collar 007 James Bond-type character.”
Stephen Levinson came up with the story idea, while ‘Safe House’ writer David Guggenheim is in talks to write the screenplay.
This is still in the early development phase, so not much else is known about the project. It certainly sounds interesting though. Action flicks have been performing well on Netflix.
Honestly, for their original films, it feels like their two sweet spots are romantic comedies and action flicks.
