Quentin Tarantino Has Completed Script For His Ninth Movie, And Now He’s Looking For A New Studio To Call Home

For the first time in his feature filmmaking career, Quentin Tarantino will not be working with Harvey Weinstein. His previous films have all been with Miramax and The Weinstein Company.

Tarantino has reportedly finished writing the script for his upcoming ninth feature film. No title has been released, but we do know the script is based on the Manson Family murders.

“Deadline reports that the script hews closely to ‘Pulp Fiction.’ One of the stories is expected to focus on Sharon Tate, a role that has been reportedly offered to Margot Robbie.”

Insiders say the filmmaker spent most of the summer writing this script, and he now feels comfortable enough to shop it around to studios. The budget is reportedly $100 million, which is around the amount spent on Django Unchained.

He’s hoping to find a studio by the end of the year, and he plans to start filming in the summer of 2018. If his timeline works out, the film will be released in 2019.

We will keep you posted as more information is released.
