Bill Murray Talks About Inappropriate Behavior Complaint Against Him, Says He’s Learning

We told you last month that production on Aziz Ansari’s upcoming film, ‘Being Mortal‘, was stopped due to an inappropriate behavior complaint filed against Bill Murray.

The studio investigated the complaint and apparently found it to be credible enough to stop production. Sources say they had filmed around 50% of the project.

And for the first time, Murray is speaking out about the charge. During an interview on CNBC of all places, the 71-year-old actor revealed he had a “difference of opinion” with a woman he was working with on set.

I did something I thought was funny and it wasn’t taken that way. The movie studio wanted to do the right thing, so they wanted to check it all out and investigate it and so they stopped the production. As of now we’re talking and we’re trying to make peace with each other.

We’re not exactly sure who this woman is, but Murray claims he’s been in contact with her directly. If one were to speculate, Keke Palmer is the only actress listed on the movie’s IMDb page, so it’s possible she was the one who filed the complaint. We could certainly see her not wanting to take any of Bill’s sh*t.

Murray says they’re both professionals who want to finish the project, but need to trust each other in order to make it work.

We’re both professionals. We like each other’s work — we like each other, I think. If we can’t get along and trust each other, there’s no point in going further working together or making a movie… It’s been quite an education for me. I’ve been doing not much else but thinking about her for the last week or two.

Sucks for Ansari, as this was supposed to be his feature film directorial debut. In addition to Murray and Palmer, this film also stars Seth Rogen and Jimmy Walker Jr.

Keke Palmer And Daniel Kaluuya In Talks To Star In Jordan Peele’s New Secret Project

Everyone is waiting to see what Jordan Peele puts out next. He’s had two massive hits so far, with Get Out and Us. Both films have been huge hits with the general audience and critics.

And now, people are wondering what he has up his sleeve next. His next project, which is currently scheduled to be released by Paramount on July 22, 2022, is under a cloud of mystery.

No one knows exactly what the story is about, but we do know that Peele has potentially found his two leads.

According to a report from Deadline, Keke Palmer is set to star in the movie. The report seems to hint that a deal has already closed for her.

Meanwhile, it’s also being reported that Daniel Kaluuya is deep in negotiations to co-star. His deal has not closed, but it seems likely at this point.

As most of you probably remember, Kaluuya starred in Peele’s ‘Get Out’ back in 2017. Since then, Kaluuya has been hot in Hollywood, just recently starring in the impressive film, Judas and the Black Messiah. He could potentially win a few awards for his performance.

We’ll keep you posted on this upcoming film from Peele, but don’t expect to hear any plot details until a few months before the film is released. That’s just how Peele operates.

Keke Palmer Set To Star In Historical Thriller ‘Alice’

Keke Palmer has made headlines recently for her participation in the Black Lives Matter movement. She has been out on the streets protesting and talking to police directly.

And now, she’s making the headlines for something career related.

It’s being reported that the talented actress will executive produce/star in the historical thriller, Alice.

Alice is inspired by the true events of a woman of servitude in 1800s Georgia, who escapes the 55-acre confines of her captor to discover the shocking reality that exists beyond the tree line — it’s 1973.

I don’t know about you, but to me, that’s a damn good pitch. I want to watch this movie now.

Palmer talked about what attracted her to the project…

So many films that depict this time in our history are rooted in victimization of the black female lead. This story is the opposite and that’s what attracted me to Krystin’s perspective. It tackles the harsh realities of slavery and white supremacy while also offering inspiration and vindication through the story of Alice’s journey. I don’t want anyone to leave the theater feeling debilitated, I want them to feel empowered.

According to the report, filming is expected to begin in August in Georgia.

Cardi B, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart And Julia Stiles Set To Star In Strip Club Drama ‘Hustlers’

No one knows the strip club world better than Cardi B, and now her knowledge of the industry has landed her a role in the upcoming ‘Hustlers‘ film.

The movie, which is being directed by Lorene Scafaria, will star Cardi, Lili Reinhart, Keke Palmer, Julia Stiles, Constance Wu and Jennifer Lopez.

Filming is set to begin in New York on March 22..

The project, originally set up at Annapurna as ‘Hustlers at Scores,’ is inspired by a New York Magazine article by Jessica Pressler. It’s set in New York City in the wake of the financial crisis and follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients.

That’s a pretty powerful group of women working on this movie. This could be huge.

No word on a release date, but it’ll likely be in 2020. It’s going to be interesting to see Cardi make her film debut, although, I’m assuming she’ll have no problem with it. She puts on an act all the time when she’s on talk shows, and as we mentioned above, she started off as a stripper, so the role won’t be a stretch.

We’ll keep you posted as more details are released.
