‘Justice League’ Star Ray Fisher Says He Won’t Work With DC Films President Walter Hamada

It looks like Ray Fisher’s time with DC Films is coming to an end. The ‘Justice League‘ star has apparently removed himself from his Cyborg role in any upcoming DC movies.

Fisher made the announcement on Twitter, revealing that he refuses to work with DC Films president, Walter Hamada.

Fisher has previously released claims of misconduct by execs at the studio, including Hamada, as well as director Joss Whedon.

The actor had alleged Whedon exhibited ‘gross, abusive, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable’ behavior during the making of Justice League, including an allegation that Whedon tried to digitally alter the skin tone of an actor of color in the movie.

Whedon denied the accusations and was supported by then-DC Films president Geoff Johns.

Fisher told Forbes:

Walter Hamada chose to insert himself into this situation by trying to throw Joss Whedon and Jon Berg under the bus to protect Geoff Johns. He has a long-standing work relationship with Johns and an even longer one with Toby [Emmerich] from their time together at New Line.

A rep for Warner Bros. has declined to comment on the recent claims.

For what it’s worth, most of Fisher’s co-stars were supportive of his claims, including Jason Momoa, who called for an investigation. Gal Gadot revealed she didn’t film with Fisher, but she also experienced odd behavior from Whedon…

I had my own experience with [Whedon], which wasn’t the best one, but I took care of it there and when it happened. I took it to the higher-ups and they took care of it. But I’m happy for Ray to go up and say his truth.

Disney’s ‘Coco’ Dominates Thanksgiving Weekend At The Box Office, Find Out How Much It Made Inside!

We knew going in that Disney’s latest film, Coco, was going to win the box office Thanksgiving weekend, but we did not know it would win by this much. The animated film, which is a front runner for Best Animated Feature at the Oscars, took home $71 million over the five-day holiday weekend.

And even though it failed to beat Frozen’s $94 million or Moana’s $82 million last year, it still dominated the box office. Its closest competitor was the disappointing Justice League, which brought in $40.7 million.

The cool thing about Coco is that it’s an even bigger hit outside the states. It’s the biggest release of all time in Mexico, and in China it was number 1 at the box office with an estimated $18.2 million over three days. The current global total for the film sits at $153.4 million.

Dave Hollis, the president of distribution for Walt Disney Studios, is not surprised by the film’s success across the world…

“Great stories can come from everywhere. They can come from all over the world, and when they’re executed as well as this is, can be relatable across languages and generations.”

For those wondering, Denzel Washington’s latest film, Roman J. Israel, Esq., did not perform well at the box office this weekend. It made just $4.5 million on over 1,600 screens across the country. The poor reviews from critics probably didn’t help.

New ‘Justice League’ Trailer Has Been Released, Watch The Action Inside

It feels like there have been at least 10 Justice League trailers released this year. I’m sure the number is actually three or four, but even that feels like too many. I feel like a film only needs one trailer, but I also dislike chocolate ice cream, so maybe my thoughts don’t really matter.

The final trailer for Justice League was released this past weekend, and it’s heavy with the CGI, which has some fans worried. Most comic-book films are going to use a lot of CGI, but fans are complaining it looks too obvious in the trailers.

The film will hit theaters November 17, and it’s probably going to get mixed reviews, similar to the reviews we saw with Batman v Superman. It just doesn’t seem like they have changed enough to make a difference.

Check out the trailer below…

Zack Snyder Is Stepping Down From ‘Justice League’ To Deal With A Horrific Family Tragedy

First of all, before we report this news, we just want to say our thoughts and prayers go out to Zack Snyder and his family. We can’t even begin to imagine how difficult this must be for them.

For those who don’t know, Snyder’s 20-year-old daughter Autumn committed suicide back in March. Her death was being kept private, even when filming for Justice League entered an unexpected two-week break, those involved managed to keep the news private.

But now Snyder and his wife Deborah are ready to talk, and they realized they both need a break. Snyder has decided to step away from the movie, which is currently in post production. All directing duties will be sent to Joss Whedon, who is more than capable of handling the filming of additional scenes.

And thanks to Whedon, the film is still expected to be released on Nov. 17, 2017. During an interview on Monday from inside his office, Snyder talked about how much his family needs him right now.

“The demands of this job are pretty intense. It is all-consuming. And in the last two months, I’ve come to the realization … I’ve decided to take a step back from the movie to be with my family, be with my kids, who really need me. They are all having a hard time. I’m having a hard time.”

And obviously Warner Bros. understands why Snyder had to step away, the studio president Toby Emmerich told reporters, “What they are going through is unimaginable, and my heart — our hearts — go out to them.”

Yeah, our hearts go out to them as well. Not much else you can say in a situation like this.

The Darkness Continues With New ‘Justice League’ Trailer

One of the biggest problems with Batman v Superman (at least according to critics) was that it was too dark. It was just so depressing that it made people feel uncomfortable after watching it.

It made everyone have the sad Affleck face…

Personally, I love dark sh*t. That wasn’t the problem with the movie, at least not in my already depressed eyes.

But I can see how it would be a problem for most, especially for the average viewer who just wants to be entertained by a comic book movie for two hours. They don’t want the troubles of the real world seeping in.

So a lot of people figured director Zack Snyder would get the message and make Justice League a bit brighter.

Did he do it? Did he turn up the fun? Maybe….

This new trailer for Justice League is slightly improved. It’s not nearly as dark as the trailers for Batman v Superman, and the music at the end certainly helps, so we’ll see what happens.

Check it out below. The film is expected to hit theaters November 17, 2017. Just in time for the already depressing holiday season!

Remember Those Insane J.K. Simmons Workout Photos? He’s Finally Revealing Why He’s Getting So Fit!

The internet went crazy a couple of weeks ago when photos of J.K. Simmons working out inside a gym went viral. And these weren’t your typical gym photos, Simmons was a green filter away from becoming The Hulk.

Most people assumed he was hitting the gym hard for his upcoming role as Commissioner Jim Gordon in Zack Snyder’s Justice League film. The thinking was that he probably had a few action scenes in the movie, so he wanted to make sure he was in the best shape of his life.

But the truth is, Simmons is not working out for a specific role. He’s simply working out because he wants to be healthy. During an interview with Business Insider, the 61-year-old actor admitted he made a promise to himself several years ago that he would stay in “decent” shape for the rest of his life.

This promise coming after he noticed how soft he looked during the HBO drama, Oz.

“I was overweight and soft and here I am playing the head of the Aryan Brotherhood in this maximum-security prison in the first-ever HBO original drama and I was watching the first season when it came out and I just thought, ‘Wow, I don’t believe this guy at all. I have to get my a– to the gym and be a believable hard-a–.'”

But even then, he had trouble hanging with the gym rats. His weight continued to go up and down until 2009. That’s when he started to work with hardcore fitness trainers, and he hasn’t looked back since.

If you’d like to watch Simmons’ “decent” body in action, check out Justice League when it hits theaters November 17, 2017.
