The Early Reactions To Jordan Peele’s Horror-Comedy ‘Nope’ Are Super Positive!

And now he’s ready to return to theaters with his third feature, the horror-comedy, Nope. And this film promises to be a little different than his first two movies. He went big with this one. Working with a bigger budget and tackling a bigger idea… ALIENS!

It’s more of a summer blockbuster than his first two movies, and according to the early reactions, it’s going to be worth the price of admission.

The Final Trailer For Jordan Peele’s ‘Nope’ Reveals The Film’s Plot

Well, the third and final trailer for Jordan Peele’s upcoming horror-thriller, Nope, was released by Universal Studios this week. And unlike the two previous trailers, this one actually reveals the film’s plot.

So if you want to go in with little to no information, we suggest clicking away from this article.

We knew the film, which stars Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer had something to do with a ranch and aliens, but now we know what Palmer and Kaluuya’s characters are up to.

Thanks to the aliens hovering above their ranch, they hatch a scheme to capture and sell the first authentic footage of UFOs.

As with his previous films, Peele wrote and directed this flick. In addition to Palmer and Kaluuya, this movie co-stars Steven Yeun, Barbie Ferreira and Brandon Perea.

If this third and final trailer is anything to go by, it looks like this movie might be a little more comedic/light than ‘Us’ and ‘Get Out’ but you never really know with Peele. He likes to switch on you fast.

‘Nope’ is expected to hit a theater near you on July 22, 2022. Check out the final trailer below…

Jordan Peele Drops First Trailer For Upcoming Horror/Sci-Fi Movie ‘Nope’

We have been waiting for the first ‘Nope’ trailer for months now. The poster was released last year, and ever since then, the internet has been speculating on the film’s plot.

Well, Jordan Peele dropped the first trailer during the Super Bowl on Sunday, and as expected, we still don’t know exactly what the movie is about.

But we do have a clearer picture. It certainly appears that this will be an alien invasion horror story, which is what we thought when the poster dropped. According to the trailer, Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya star as two animal trainers in Hollywood who specialize in horses.

During a night at their ranch, something spooky drops from the sky, and well, after that the trailer gets all kinds of weird.

In addition to Palmer and Kaluuya, ‘Nope’ stars Steven Yeun and Barbie Ferreira. This will be Peele’s first feature film since 2019’s ‘Us’

‘Nope’ will hit theaters on July 22 in the states, and then a couple weeks later across the world.

Check Out The First Footage From Jordan Peele’s Upcoming Film ‘Nope’

After the success of ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us’ Jordan Peele is back with another horror/thriller, although this one might also mix a bit of sci-fi as well.

‘Nope’ is expected to hit theaters on July 22, 2022, and to celebrate the upcoming release, Universal Pictures plans to drop the first trailer on Super Bowl Sunday.

But before we get there, they teased us with the first look you see below. In the clip, near the end, you can see the first images from the film, featuring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun. They all appear to be looking at something above them in the sky.

Which makes sense, because this is the poster…

This is why we speculate that there might be a sci-fi element to this. Plot details are still not known, and honestly, the trailer probably won’t tell us much. Peele loves to keep his movies a surprise.

Nope is also notable for teaming Peele and cinematographer Hoyte van Hoytema, who has become Christoper Nolan’s go-to director of photography in recent years after shooting ‘Interstellar,’ ‘Dunkirk’ and ‘Tenet.’ Hoytema will also be shooting Nolan’s next directorial effort, the atom bomb drama ‘Oppenheimer.’

Peele is bringing out the big guns for this one, and we can’t wait to check it out. JULY 22, GET YO’ POPCORN READY!

Jordan Peele Has Wrapped Filming On Mystery Project ‘Nope’

We have some good news for all you Jordan Peele fans! Filming has been completed on his most recent feature, Nope. It’ll be his third feature following the success of ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us’

Not much is known about this movie, but we do know it was shot on Kodak film, including 65mm film in IMAX format. So he shot this film for IMAX, which probably means he’s working with the biggest budget he’s ever worked with.

I’d expect this film to be “bigger” than his previous films. We know it has an impressive cast, which includes Keke Palmer, Daniel Kaluuya and Steven Yeun.

We also know that Hoyte van Hoytema served as the cinematographer, which is pretty significant. Hoytema has worked on big films like Dunkirk, Interstellar and Tenet.

It’s clear Peele wanted to work with the best of the best for this feature. We still don’t know any details surrounding the film’s plot, but the poster is giving us a sci-fi/horror vibe.

‘Nope’ is expected to hit theaters on July 22, 2022, which means a trailer should drop sometime in late winter/early spring 2022. We’ll keep you posted.

Jordan Peele Drops Surprise Poster For His New Movie Titled ‘Nope’ With Daniel Kaluuya

We have been waiting months to hear more about Jordan Peele’s latest flick, and thankfully today (July 22) we’re getting a little more information. Just a little though.

The filmmaker revealed the title and the first poster for his next project. The movie is titled ‘Nope‘ and it’s set to star Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun. As most of you know, Peele previously worked with Oscar-winner Kaluuya on his debut feature, Get Out.

Check out the poster below…

What does it mean? No idea. We don’t really know anything else about the project, beyond the cast, title, release date and this poster.

He didn’t even provide us with a logline, and he probably won’t for a long time. We probably won’t get more information until the trailer drops sometime early next year, at least that’s our best guess.

Of note, on the IMDB page for this project, there’s an actor credited as a “Fry’s Customer” and an actor credited as “Kid Sheriff”

What does that tell us? Not sure. Fry’s was a big box electronics store, which recently shut down all stores due to the changes in the retail industry and COVID-19. So it’s possible one of the characters works at a Fry’s, or maybe some aliens take over a store. Or maybe all the electronics in the world cause some sort of mayhem.

I DON’T KNOW! WHY IS THERE A KID SHERIFF? We’ll just have to wait for more answers.

The Thriller Film ‘Karen’ Just Dropped Its First Trailer, And It Looks Absolutely…HILARIOUS?

I’m not sure the filmmakers behind ‘Karen‘ were going for outrageous comedy when they made the film, but it’s clear that’s what they got.

The first trailer for the film was dropped this past week, and it’s made a lot of noise online, mostly from people clowning on just how bad it looks.

‘Karen’ was directed by Coke Daniels and stars Taryn Manning (Orange is the New Black) in the titular role. The plot is pretty simple. A black family moves to a new neighborhood and is basically terrorized by their white neighbor, appropriately named Karen.

They have described this film as a ‘thriller’ so we’re assuming they weren’t actively trying to make a comedy, which somehow makes the trailer even more hilarious.

Several people on Twitter called out the filmmakers for trying to be Jordan Peele and failing terribly…

No release date has been announced, but we’ll be watching out for one.

Check out the trailer below…

‘Minari’ Star Steven Yeun Set To Join Jordan Peele’s Upcoming Horror Film

Steven Yeun first became a household name for his work on ‘The Walking Dead‘ and now it looks like he might be going back to the horror genre.

After starring in the Oscar-nominated film ‘Minari’ Yeun is currently in negotiations to star in Jordan Peele’s next horror feature.

If the deal becomes official, he’ll be joining Keke Palmer and Daniel Kaluuya.

Deadline was first to break the news:

It would mark the first collaboration between Peele and Kaluuya since the Best Picture-nominated Get Out, which earned Kaluuya a nomination for best actor while Peele won for best original screenplay.

Besides directing and writing the pic, Peele will also produce alongside Ian Cooper for their Monkeypaw Productions, via the company’s exclusive five-year deal with Universal.

As always with Peele’s projects, the plot details remain under wraps. You typically don’t hear much about the details until the first trailer is released, and even then you’re kinda like, “Wait, what?” and hell sometimes, you don’t even know what the movie was about until two weeks after you watch it.

This latest film is expected to be released July 22, 2022, so filming will most likely start in the fall of 2021.

We’ll keep you posted.

Keke Palmer And Daniel Kaluuya In Talks To Star In Jordan Peele’s New Secret Project

Everyone is waiting to see what Jordan Peele puts out next. He’s had two massive hits so far, with Get Out and Us. Both films have been huge hits with the general audience and critics.

And now, people are wondering what he has up his sleeve next. His next project, which is currently scheduled to be released by Paramount on July 22, 2022, is under a cloud of mystery.

No one knows exactly what the story is about, but we do know that Peele has potentially found his two leads.

According to a report from Deadline, Keke Palmer is set to star in the movie. The report seems to hint that a deal has already closed for her.

Meanwhile, it’s also being reported that Daniel Kaluuya is deep in negotiations to co-star. His deal has not closed, but it seems likely at this point.

As most of you probably remember, Kaluuya starred in Peele’s ‘Get Out’ back in 2017. Since then, Kaluuya has been hot in Hollywood, just recently starring in the impressive film, Judas and the Black Messiah. He could potentially win a few awards for his performance.

We’ll keep you posted on this upcoming film from Peele, but don’t expect to hear any plot details until a few months before the film is released. That’s just how Peele operates.

Jordan Peele And Issa Rae Join Universal Pictures Mystery Drama ‘Sinkhole’

The dream team? Quite possibly! According to a new report, Jordan Peele and Issa Rae have jumped on board Universal Pictures’ family drama, Sinkhole, which is based on a short story by Leyna Krow.

The plan is for Rae to star in the film and for Peele to produce.

The story centers on a young family knowingly moving into a house with a sinkhole in the backyard and discovering that the sinkhole that manages to take all things that are broken and destroyed and make them perfect again.

No word on if Peele’s involvement will stop at the producer level, or if he’ll decide he wants to direct/write as well.

This news is still pretty fresh, so not much is known, but we’re sure more will be released soon.

As for Rae, she’s riding high right now. Yesterday, she received Emmy nominations for her comedy series ‘Insecure’ which has been a huge hit for HBO.
