John Krasinski made a name for himself in ‘The Office’ but in recent years he has proven he is more than a sitcom actor. He’s an extremely talented director/storyteller. As you all know, he directed both ‘A Quiet Place‘ films, which have generated over $600 million at the box office.
Now he’s getting ready for his next directing gig with the upcoming Paramount Pictures film IF.
Details are being kept under wraps, but the story is based on an original idea of Krasinski’s, about a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination. Krasinski will direct, write and produce the original film via his company.
And he’s bringing in a super talented cast. It was announced this week that Steve Carell has joined the cast, creating a mini ‘The Office’ reunion on set.
But Carell isn’t the only big name. Ryan Reynolds and Phoebe Waller-Bridge have also agreed to star, in addition to Alan Kim and Fiona Shaw.
The movie is scheduled to be released on November 17, 2023, so they’re hoping it’s a film that performs well with families during the holidays.
This will be the first project Krasinski and Carell have teamed up on since their time together on The Office.
