Mike Mills is back with his latest feature, C’mon C’mon. Mills’ last feature, 20th Century Women, was a huge hit with critics and even received a Best Screenplay nomination at the Oscars back in 2016.
It took five years, but Mills is returning to the big screen with C’mon C’mon, which stars the incredibly talented Joaquin Phoenix. The story, which was shot in black-and-white, follows a man trying to build a connection with his eccentric nephew following his mother’s death.
In addition to Phoenix, this film stars Gaby Hoffmann, Woody Norman and the underrated Scoot McNairy.
Mills directed and wrote this film, which has been receiving rave reviews from critics after premiering in the festival circuit earlier this year.
It’s set to hit theaters on November 19, and it should be a pretty special film. Many experts believe it’ll land some nominations during awards season.
