The high-profile spy thriller ‘Heart of Stone‘ has added another big name to its cast. It was announced this week that Jamie Dornan will join the project, which is being pushed by Netflix and Skydance.
Dornan, who received praise this past year for his performance in Belfast, will join a cast that already includes Gal Gadot.
The script was written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder, but plot details are being kept under wraps for now. We know it’s an “international spy thriller” and we also know Tom Harper will be directing.
Netflix nabbed worldwide rights to the project last January, marking another partnership between the streamer and Skydance, after teaming for ‘The Old Guard’ with Charlize Theron, Ryan Reynolds’ ‘6 Underground’ and the upcoming ‘The Adam Project”’starring Reynolds and directed by Shawn Levy.
Netflix will most likely be dropping a pretty penny on this project, so you can bet they’re hoping it’ll be a huge success.
As mentioned above, not a lot is known about the film at this time, but as more casting news comes out, the details surrounding the plot will follow.
Indie filmmakers Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson gained a bit of a loyal following after the release of their 2017 sci-fi flick, The Endless. The movie received positive reviews from critics and was loved by people all over the world.
Now they’re coming back with their next film, Synchronic. The horror-thriller stars Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan.
When New Orleans paramedics and longtime best friends Steve (Mackie) and Dennis (Dornan) are called to a series of bizarre, gruesome accidents, they chalk it up to the mysterious new party drug found at the scene. But after Dennis’s oldest daughter suddenly disappears, Steve stumbles upon a terrifying truth about the supposed psychedelic that will challenge everything he knows about reality—and the flow of time itself.
Sounds pretty trippy, eh? The studio behind the film announced they planned on releasing it inside theaters this October, but Moorhead and Benson made it clear they did not agree with that decision.
We want to be very clear: at the time of writing this, we personally wouldn’t go to an indoor movie theater, so we can’t encourage you to. To us, this isn’t only about feeling safe in a theater, this is also about the scientific community indicating that enclosed spaces like movie theaters are still a hazard for spreading COVID-19 to others.
It’s a bold move by the filmmakers, basically telling people to not go watch their movie, but it’s a respectable admission. It honestly makes me want to support them more.
In any event, you can check out the trailer below, and if you like what you see, maybe check it out at a drive-in? Seems like the safest option.
Shailene Woodley,Sebastian Stan and Jamie Dornan all star in this steamy love triangle flick, ‘Endings, Beginnings‘ from director Drake Doremus.
According to the synopsis, Woodley stars as a woman attempting to get her life back on track, but ends up getting involved in a love triangle with bad boy (Stan) and his best friend (Dornan)
At its Toronto premiere, the festival praised Doremus’ stylistic flourishes, describing the film as ‘a smart, very contemporary character study of a woman exploring who she is, what she could be, and how her choices impact those around her.’
But the critics did not enjoy it. The film has a pretty terrible 30% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Still though, if you’re looking for a sexy little film to watch with your lover, maybe this is it. Dornan appears to have found his niche, huh? After years of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Check out the trailer below. It’s set to be released May 1, 2020.
“In a world where journalism is under attack, Colvin is one of the most celebrated war correspondents of our time. She’s driven to the frontlines of conflicts across the globe to give voice to the voiceless, while constantly testing the limits between bravery and bravado. Colvin sacrifices loving relationships, and over time, her personal life starts to unravel as the trauma she’s witnessed takes its toll.”
Matthew Heineman directs this project, which will be his narrative-feature debut. Before this, he directed documentaries like Cartel Land and City of Ghosts. He’s an extremely talented filmmaker, so it’ll be neat to see him testing his narrative muscles.
A Private War will open November 2 in New York and Los Angeles. Check out the trailer below…
On Valentine’s Day 2018, the final film in E.L. James’ trilogy will be released, and you can bet your mother will be there opening night…’cause your mother is a freak like that.
Fifty Shades Freed released one more trailer before its release, and you can check it out at the bottom of this page. It features pretty much all the things you might expect in a ‘Fifty Shades’ movie: sex, violence, stalking, cheesy dialogue, etc.
E! News explains this movie will pick up right where the previous film left off…
“As to be expected from this dramatic book-to-movie franchise, the honeymoon season doesn’t last for long. Picking up where Fifty Shades Darker left off, Freed will explore what unfolds when Anastasia’s life is threatened by her former and extremely scorned boss.”
In addition to Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan, this final film will co-star Kim Basinger, Luke Grimes and Rita Ora. As mentioned, it will hit theaters the weekend before Valentine’s Day.
Fifty Shades of Grey, the first film released based on the ridiculously successful book trilogy by E.L. James, grossed close to $600 million worldwide, and the upcoming sequel Fifty Shades Darker will likely have the same amount of success.
Both Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are back for the sequel. They will be having even more sex in this one, which should delight fans of the franchise. Although, it might hurt to know that both Johnson and Dornan don’t even really like filming those steamy scenes.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Dornan admitted he feels sexualized playing the role as Mr. Grey…
I feel very subjective a lot of the time at work. So I wouldn’t say I’m relatively not objectified in the workplace. I am. It’s not just the women, but men too. Sex scenes are hard because you’re simulating sex, and that’s a very strange way to spend the day.
Johnson has said similar things in her interviews, but it’s difficult to feel too bad for them. Getting paid millions of dollars to have pretend sex doesn’t sound that bad. Heck, getting paid millions to do pretty much anything doesn’t sound that bad. I’d push old people down some stairs and take away their Metamucil if someone was paying me millions to do it.
Fifty Shades Darker will be released on Valentine’s Day 2017. Check out the trailer below…
You have probably heard the rumors by now. Several sources claim the actor was searching for a way out of his Fifty Shades of Grey contract. They claimed he didn’t want to reprise his role as Christian Grey for the sequel that is bound to happen.
However, Dornan’s rep talked to PEOPLE yesterday, forcing a little bit of truth down our throats.
“Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film.”
The rep also made it clear that this is the only statement Dornan will be making about the rumors. It appears the rumors originated in an Australian magazine. The magazine claimed Dornan was looking to leave the franchise because his wife was uncomfortable with the sex scenes.
Which doesn’t make a lot of sense because everyone was complaining about the lack of chemistry between Dornan and his 25-year-old costar Dakota Johnson. His wife should be thrilled about that.
As of right now, the studio has yet to green light a sequel, but we imagine it’s just a matter of time before they do. Yeah, the film dropped significantly in its second week at the box office; however, it’s grossed over $400 million worldwide.
Are you exhausted with the discussions surrounding the erotic drama Fifty Shades of Grey? We are right there with you. We all know this film is going to be a huge hit, and that apparently has some people raging. Film snobs hate the movie, religious people hate the book, and some people hate it because they feel it promotes domestic abuse.
We are not here to talk about any of that. We are here to bring the lovers and haters together. The fine folks working the Boo Ya Pictures YouTube channel have created one of the best recut movie trailers we have ever seen.
They replaced the hideous Jamie Dornan with the stunning Steve Buscemi. It’s truly magical. Check it out down below, and be sure to watch the full video. It progressively gets more hilarious.
We have seen actors go through insane transformations for a role. Dropping weight, gaining weight, cutting off their hair, etc. If they believe in the story, they will go the extra mile to make sure it’s as authentic as possible. And Jamie Dornan apparently believes in Christian Grey, the billionaire businessman who enjoys getting extra freaky in the bedroom.
In the upcoming issue of Elle UK, Dornan revealed that he did some impressive research for his role in Fifty Shades of Grey. The 32-year-old actor admitted he visited sex dungeons to help him get into character.
“I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did… whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives. I was like: ‘Come on guys I know I’m not paying for this but I am expecting a show.’ It was an interesting evening. Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards… I had a long shower before touching either of them.”
What a life, right? Being able to tell your wife that you just went to a sex dungeon…for work! I tried that with my ex-girlfriend a few years ago, but she was just like, “What? Since when does Taco Bell deliver?”
Anyway, be sure to take your grandmother to the Fifty Shades of Grey premiere on Valentine’s Day, 2015.
Well the wait is over. The official trailer for 50 Shades was released today and women everywhere are either disappointed or utterly thrilled. Personally, I think the role of Christian Grey could have been casted much better. I thought Dornan was a risk, Dornan with a beard could possibly pull it off. Clean faced Dornan..ehhhhh…..we’ll have to see.
Beard says power mogul, no beard says up and coming business man on the rise. I believe the character as written should be all mogul. Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele is Ok. She will do just fine.
The other issue is with a film like this, it’s hard to match the hype of the book. When you have a Harry Potter or a Game of Thrones, the entire setting is fantasy. So it’s easy to appeal to the senses with colorful characters and CGI. A move like this will be purely actor charisma, chemistry and the directors ability to paint the visual.
I thought the initial released promotional poster did a good job of wetting our beaks. The trailer however, falls flat. There are mixed reviews but I think at the end of the day women will turn out in droves. Social media will play it up, including websites like this and women will be all fired up. It will be an excuse for a girls night out. However with a Valentine’s Day release in 2015, the question will be, do you spend the night with your significant other, or Christian Grey?
