‘Euphoria’ Star Jacob Elordi Will Team Up With Barry Keoghan And Rosamund Pike In ‘Saltburn’

A hot package is hitting the Cannes market next week. According to a report from Deadline, Jacob Elordi, Barry Keoghan and Rosamund Pike will star in Emerald Fennell’s upcoming film, Saltburn.

For those who don’t know, Fennell is an award-winning filmmaker. She most recently wrote/directed Promising Young Woman, which was released in 2020 to rave reviews. The movie actually won Best Original Screenplay at the 93rd Academy Awards.

And now, Fennell will follow up that masterpiece with this upcoming ‘Saltburn’ flick. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but sources say it deals with obsession. So perhaps either Elordi or Keoghan are obsessing over Pike? Some sort of thriller?

MRC will take the package to the Cannes market next week, and it is expected to be one of the hotter properties on the market. The pic will be produced by Fennell and LuckyChap Entertainment’s Josey McNamara, Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie.

Filming is expected to begin this summer in the UK, which means a 2023 release date is likely. It should be a film to watch. No doubt about it.

Zachary Quinto And Jacob Elordi Set To Star In True Crime Thriller Film ‘He Went That Way’

Well, this is pretty exciting. The bizarre true crime story following celebrity animal trainer Dave Pitts is getting a big screen adaptation.

It was announced this week that Jacob Elordi and Zachary Quinto will star in the film, which is set to hit the virtual Cannes market.

Set in 1964, the movie is based on the strange but true crime story of celebrity animal trainer Dave Pitts and his famous TV chimp, Spanky, centerpiece of the traveling extravaganza The Ice Capades, and his fateful three-day encounter with the serial killer Larry Lee Ranes.

Quinto will play the animal trainer and Elordi will play the serial killer.

The story is inspired by Conrad Hilberry’s book Luke Karamazov, and the real life accounts from Pitts, the lone survivor of Ranes’ killing spree.

Jeffrey Darling is set to make his feature directorial debut with this film after mostly working in the commercial space.

He released the following statement:

He Went That Way is a undoubtedly a journey of curious tensions and bonds between two and at times three interesting characters all on their own path. A cinematic tale on the road across the U.S. in the early ’60s where people come with a rawness forged from the landscapes they inhabit. It is for our two leads Jacob and Zachary as well as myself, a great opportunity to explore with an improvised sensibility.

‘Euphoria’ Star Jacob Elordi Set To Lead New Action-Thriller ‘Parallel’ From Legendary

23-year-old actor Jacob Elordi, who is perhaps best known for his roles in Euphoria, and the ‘Kissing Both’ franchise, is about to become a legit movie star.

It’s being reported that he signed on to star in the lead role in the upcoming action-thriller film from Legendary, Parallel.

According to the report, the movie features a “grounded sci-fi conceit and also an intense love story,” which checks out. Elordi has lots of practice in the romance genre, so adding in a love story is a smart movie.

Tom Green will direct the feature. He’ll be working on a script from Steve Lightfoot. Deadline reports the script features a world where “parallel versions of our reality are accessible, though unknown to most – and to visit them is illegal.”

Sounds interesting enough. Elordi is a rising star in Hollywood. Not only will he be starring in the project listed above, but he’s also set to return for the second season of Euphoria. He’s also going to star in the upcoming Kissing Booth 3 for Netflix.

Oh, and he also has a movie called ‘Deep Water‘ coming out next year, where he co-stars alongside Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas. No big deal, right?

It’s Official, ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ Is In Development, Original Cast Set To Return

Netflix had a pretty great year in 2018. They released some award-winning films, and some films that resonated with their younger audience. One of those films was The Kissing Booth, which was adapted from a Beth Reekles novel of the same name.

The movie was not exactly a hit with critics, but that’s okay because it wasn’t designed to please critics. It was supposed to target teenagers and it did just that. At one point, Netflix revealed The Kissing Booth was “one of the most watched” movies in the world on its streaming service.

Now, nine months after its release, Netflix has confirmed that a sequel is happening. One of the stars of the movie, Joel Courtney, went on his Twitter account to share the exciting news…

Both Joey King and Jacob Elordi will return for this sequel, which is scheduled to begin filming later this year. If everything goes as planned, The Kissing Booth 2 will likely be released sometime in 2020.

This news comes just a few months after Netflix announced they’d be making a sequel to another young adult hit, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Production on that sequel is expected to start this year as well, so both sequels might hit Netflix in 2020.
