Harrison Ford Has Suffered A Shoulder Injury While Filming ‘Indiana Jones 5’ Fight Scene

The risk of making all these sequels and remakes with the stars of the original films is that they’re aging.

Harrison Ford is pushing 80-years-old, and they have him out here doing fight scenes in the upcoming Indiana Jones 5 flick.

And unsurprisingly, he was injured while filming. Sources say he suffered a shoulder injury while rehearsing a fight scene. It doesn’t look like it will delay production right this minute, but director James Mangold will be forced to shoot around the injury.

A delay could happen…

Director James Mangold will continue to shoot around him while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated. The filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks.  Disney has set the Lucasfilm action thriller for a July 29, 2022 release date.

Production started on the action film earlier this month in Pinewood and several other locations in the U.K.

In addition to Ford, this movie will star Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen and Boyd Holbrook.

This isn’t the first time Ford has been injured on set. He suffered a pretty serious injury when his leg was broken by a hydraulic door while on set of the Millennium Falcon spaceship in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

It doesn’t sound like this shoulder injury is quite as serious, so hopefully he’ll be back at it in no time.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge Lands Lead Female Role In Upcoming Indiana Jones 5 Film

After the success of ‘Fleabag‘ Phoebe Waller-Bridge is the name in Hollywood. Everyone wants to work with her.

And according to Deadline, Harrison Ford really wants to work with her. Sources say she’s set to co-star opposite of Ford in the upcoming fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise.

The hope is to start production this summer, with Mangold meeting with other talent for other roles in preparation for production. Plot details are still vague on what new adventure awaits Jones, as are details behind who Waller-Bridge will play. The film is set to bow on July 29, 2022.

Steven Spielberg will serve as a producer and is said to be “very involved” in the process of making this film, despite handing over the directing keys to James Mangold.

As for Phoebe? Well, this is a pretty big deal, but it’s nothing she can’t handle. After having wild success in the television world, she’s been dipping her toes in the land of features.

In addition to this co-starring role in Indiana Jones 5, she’s also serving as a co-writer on the James Bond flick, No Time to Die.

Safe to say we may be watching a legend in the making here.

Check Out The First Poster And Trailer For Live-Action ‘The Call of the Wild’ Movie

Another live-action adaptation of a literary classic? You got it! Coming right up.

The first trailer and poster for 20th Century Fox’s ‘The Call of the Wild‘ film have arrived. Harrison Ford stars as John Thornton, but all eyes will be on the dog Buck, who is the real star of the film.

A big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s.

Chris Sanders is directing the film, which is significant because it’ll be his first live-action flick. He previously directed Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon, and The Croods.

In addition to Ford, this film will also star Dan Stevens, Karen Gillan, and Omar Sy.

The Call of the Wild will hit theaters February 21, 2020. Check out the trailer below…

Harrison Ford And Ryan Gosling Have A Hilarious Interview With Reporter Who Has An Infectious Laugh (VIDEO)

It’s been a terrible week for the world with the incredibly depressing mass shooting in Las Vegas and the death of Tom Petty. We all could use a laugh or two, and thankfully you’re about to get those laughs.

Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling have been busy doing interviews promoting their new film together, Blade Runner 2049, and most of the interviews have been pretty standard (aka boring)

But one reporter named Alison Hammond brought some much needed life to the interview session. She was interviewing the two stars on Wednesday morning, and she immediately grabbed their attention with her infectious laugh.

I’ve never seen Ford laugh this hard. It was delightful seeing him have so much fun, and you know, Gosling is always entertaining and charming.

By the way, Blade Runner 2049 hits theaters this weekend. Go watch it.

Indiana Jones 5 Screenwriter Reveals Shia LaBeouf’s Character Will Not Return

We got some bad news for you Shia LaBeouf fans out there. Indiana Jones 5 screenwriter David Koepp had an interview with Entertainment Weekly, and he revealed Shia’s character will not be featured in the next chapter of the franchise.

“The Shia LaBeouf character is not in the film,” he said, refusing to actually say the character’s name. He didn’t seem like he wanted to address the Shia issue, but he did talk about Harrison Ford, “Harrison plays Indiana Jones, that I can certainly say,” he revealed.

Both Koepp and Spielberg are happy with the current version of the screenplay and production could get started very soon…

“We’re plugging away at it. In terms of when we would start, I think that’s up to Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Ford. I know we’ve got a script we’re mostly happy with. Work will be endless, of course, and ongoing, and Steven just finished shooting The Post …. If the stars align, hopefully it’ll be his next film.”

As some of you may remember, Shia slammed 2008’s Crystal Skull during an interview with the Los Angeles Times in 2010. He told the paper he felt as if he dropped the ball “on the legacy that people loved and cherished,” he also claimed Ford wasn’t happy with the final product either.

Ford’s response? Well, he called Shia a “f**king idiot”

A New, Full Trailer, Has Been Released For ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Check Out The Action Inside!

Two months ago, the first preview was released for Blade Runner 2049. It was just a little tease for fans of the franchise. It left them wanting more.

And thankfully, they are finally getting more. Good Morning America debuted the first full trailer for the sequel on Monday morning. The first trailer focused on Ryan Gosling’s character, but this second trailer is all about Harrison Ford. And yes, he still looks like a freaking badass.

This sequel was directed by Denis Villeneuve. In addition to Gosling and Ford, the movie also stars Dave Bautista, Barkhad Abdi, Mackenzie Davis and Jared Leto. So yeah, this is a pretty stacked cast.

Blade Runner 2049 is set to hit theaters October 6, 2017. It looks like it’s going to be one hell of a ride. Check out the action below…

The First Full-Length Trailer For ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Has Arrived, And It Doesn’t Reveal Too Much About The Sequel (VIDEO)

One of the biggest problems people have with trailers is that they give away too much of the movie. It’s difficult to be surprised by anything when every film seems to release 3 or 4 trailers before it hits theaters.

But the first, full-length trailer for Blade Runner 2049 has arrived, and it’s managed to avoid spoiling anything. It reveals just enough to get you excited, but offers nothing more.

This sequel, which is being directed by Arrival’s Denis Villeneuve, stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford.

The film won’t hit theaters until October 6, 2017, and we all know what that means. Blogs will spend the next few months trying to find all the mysteries hidden inside this trailer. They will look at every single frame of this trailer to find something no one else is seeing.

And that’s cool, but I won’t be participating in the madness. I’d rather be surprised. You don’t need to know everything.

Check out the official synopsis and trailer below…

“Officer K (Ryan Gosling), a new blade runner for the Los Angeles Police Department, unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. His discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who’s been missing for 30 years.”

Blade Runner 2049 Teaser Trailer Will Have you Dusting off the Original! (VIDEO)

I’m going to save the “Hollywood Reboot” rant for later.  This is actually a legitimate sequel.  Just the appearance of Harrison Ford will make you grab the 1982 VCR cassette and pop it in….wait… Pop it in what?  Nobody has VCR’s.  It will have you on Amazon Prime ordering the original and watching this on your commute home.

In the quick teaser trailer we know that Ford is reprising his role as ex-cop Rick Deckard.  Ford’s involvement along with Ridley Scott, make this sequel worth the wait.  Besides getting the passion and talent that the first film had, another advantage of the Ford – Scott combination is the ability to attract other top talent.  Besides Ryan Gosling playing the lead, Ada de Armas, Robin Wright and Jared Leto will be rounding out the cast.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, the film is due to be released on October 17, 2017.

Here is the synopsis that was released with the trailer:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.

Disney Makes It Official: Harrison Ford And Steven Spielberg Returning For ‘Indiana Jones 5’

indii

We have heard several rumors surrounding the Indiana Jones franchise these past few years. Some reports claimed they were planning on a hard reboot with a brand new cast, but now we know Disney is sticking with Harrison Ford for this fifth (and hopefully) final Indiana Jones film.

Disney also announced that Steven Spielberg will be returning to direct, and the scheduled release date has been set for July 19, 2019, so you still have a few years to prepare yourself for this one.

Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn released a statement, claiming Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history…

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019. It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

But are fans of the franchise excited? Some of them, but most people just wanted to make fun of how old Harrison Ford is. He will be turning 77 just six days before the scheduled release in July of 2019.

Here are a few examples…

What do you think? Is Ford too old?

Movie Review: The Age of Adeline – Harrison Ford’s Talent Not Enough to Overcome the Abysmal Job Done by The Leads

128604_ori

I’m not really a big fan of Blake Lively. With the exception of the crackhead she played in The Town, I find her kind of stone faced and empty. I’m pretty sure the vast majority of her roles could be recreated by a mannequin. Despite an intriguing premise, I find the Age of Adeline is no real exception.

Blake Lively plays the part of our title character, a 29-year-old who needs to pretend she’s sad that she’ll never turn thirty. Her ‘curse’ starts when she plows her car into a tree on a dark and stormy night. For the most part, she lives a happy, normal life, getting married and having a daughter. Then, when she’s supposed to be 45, and looks 25 (poor thing) she’s forced to go on the run. It goes on like this until she takes a job as a librarian and meets a man who pulls some kind of weird Indecent Proposal thing. Then, she has to decide whether to settle down or flee yet again. Add in the complication that she used to date this dude’s dad, and I would have run so fast I would have left my shadow behind.

The first problem with this film, again, is Blake Lively. She’s supposed to represent some kind of timeless glamour, but instead comes across as dead eyed and empty. She might have made a better vampire. At least then the storyline might have been a bit more plausible.

The next problem comes in with the love interest Ellis (Michiel Huisman). While he is a bit of a charmer, there was one major problem and that problem was his accent. Huisman is Dutch but he’s playing an American. And he sounds exactly like a Dutch person playing an American. The accent is not well covered.

Speaking of voices, Hugh Ross does the voiceover for this one, but the narrator’s tone doesn’t fit. It sounds a bit like an episode of Frontline. In a fantasy film, it just doesn’t work and tends to pull you out of the picture.

The one high point in this one was Harrison Ford. He gives off some true star power and despite the fact that he’s a secondary character, plays like a first tier one. He stole every scene that he was in with Lively, but that was hardly difficult. I’m pretty sure she was asleep through the majority of the film.

I think the film might have worked better with better acting. On its face, it’s a unique story with an interesting take. The problem comes in with the abysmal job done by the leads. From a dodgy American accent, to Blake Lively’s less than lively performance, the failure comes from the leads themselves.

This one might be one to skip. The effort made by the writers was not matched by the enthusiasm of the actors. Leads who sleepwalked through the movie made this a movie you want to sleep through. It’s a shame because I had high hopes for The Age of Adeline.
