Watch Matt Damon And Christian Bale In First Trailer For ‘Ford V. Ferrari’

When you see a film starring Christian Bale and Matt Damon, your ears perk up a bit. Two talented actors sharing the screen together should make all film lovers excited.

Damon and Bale both star in James Mangold’s latest film, Ford v. Ferrari. The movie is based on true events between an engineer and a race car driver.

American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.

It’s clear the studio believes this movie has the potential to win some awards because they’re giving it a November 15, 2019 release date, which is a prime awards season release date. Let’s just hope Damon doesn’t say anything too controversial during the press tour.

Check out the trailer below…

Christian Bale Has Transformed Into Dick Cheney In First Trailer For ‘Vice’

We all know Christian Bale is not afraid to completely change his body for a movie. He dropped a lot of weight for The Machinist, gained weight for American Hustle, and then gained muscle for The Dark Knight franchise.

And for his latest project, Vice, he gained 40lbs to accurately portray former Vice President Dick Cheney. Some of you might be thinking, “Oh, poor Bale. He got to eat anything he wanted!” But it’s not that simple. He had to gain those 40 pounds in a short time period, and he had to do it safely, so he had help from a nutritionist. It wasn’t like he was eating double cheeseburgers every single day.

Anyway, it looks like the hard work paid off, ’cause Bale looks eerily similar to Cheney in the trailer you see below.

The trailer opens with Bush, played by Sam Rockwell, attempting to recruit Cheney to be his Number Two. Cheney comes ready to bargain. ‘I’m a CEO of a large company,’ he explains in a somber, gravelly voice. ‘I have been Secretary of Defense, and I have been White House Chief of Staff. The Vice Presidency is a mostly symbolic job.'”

Adam Mckay directed this movie, which is set to hit theaters this Christmas. In addition to Bale and Rockwell, Vice will co-star Steve Carrell and Amy Adams.

Look At Christian Bale’s Transformation As He Slowly Becomes Dick Cheney (PHOTOS)

We told you last week that Sam Rockwell was joining Adam McKay’s Dick Cheney biopic. Rockwell was the last piece to the puzzle. He will be playing George W. Bush in the movie, which is expected to begin filming this fall.

Christian Bale has the starring role as the former vice president Dick Cheney, and it’s clear he’s committed to this role. He was at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado this past weekend, and as you can see in the photos, he has gained some weight for this role. He also dyed his dark eyebrows blonde to look more like Cheney.

Honestly, this transformation might seem dramatic, but it’s probably been a smooth ride for Bale. He’s no stranger to insane transformations. For the 2004 film The Machinist, Bale lost about 70 pounds. He weighed just 121 pounds, which is kinda frightening ’cause he stands at 6’2″

He then gained it all back and added 30 more pounds for Batman Begins one year later. So yeah, gaining a few pounds and making his eyebrows blonde is probably a walk in the freaking park for Bale.

As we mentioned in the previous post, this biopic does not have an official release date, but we will keep you posted.

Sam Rockwell Will Play George W. Bush In Adam McKay’s Dick Cheney Biopic

We finally have the Bush!

As you might have heard, Adam McKay is teaming up with Christian Bale once more for the Dick Cheney biopic, Cheney. McKay and Bale previously worked together on the 2015 award-winning film, The Big Short.

Bale will play Cheney in this upcoming biopic of the former vice president. Amy Adams will play his wife and Steve Carell (who also starred in The Big Short) is set to play Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld. Those roles were decided early in this production.

One of the last major roles needing to be cast? George W. Bush. After looking at several actors, McKay and Annapurna Pictures decided Sam Rockwell was the man for the job. It’s a great decision. I’ve always got this strange George Bush vibe from Rockwell, like, it was always on my mind that he could play Bush in a movie one day. He has the look, the voice, and even the body language.

So what will the movie focus on? Well, it looks like it’s tackling Cheney’s entire life.

“Bale is portraying the titular character in a story that chronicles Cheney avoiding military service in the Vietnam War, his rise to CEO of the multinational corporation Halliburton and finally becoming what some have called the most powerful U.S. vice president ever to hold office.”

Filming could start as early as September. No word on when we should expect to see this released, but we will keep you posted.

Watch: Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt and Christian Bale? Oh My! First Trailer For ‘The Big Short’ Has Been Released!

The Big Short is certainly not short on talent. The movie has an all-start cast featuring Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Christian Bale and Steve Carell. That’s like creating a baseball team with Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Hank Aaron and Ted Williams.

And speaking of baseball, do you all remember the 2011 film Moneyball? There are actually two huge connections between Moneyball and The Big Short. The first one being Brad Pitt stars in both films, and the second one is that both films are based on books by superstar author Michael Lewis.

This latest film is based on his 2010 book, “The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine“, which told the story of a few people who actually made money by predicting the bursting of the housing bubble. The book spent 28 weeks on the New York Times best-seller list.

Adam McKay (Step Brothers, Anchorman) directed the film. And as we (and everyone else) mentioned, the movie is full of talent. In addition to the stars listed above, you also have Oscar-winner Melissa Leo and the always lovely Marisa Tomei.

The film is scheduled to debut at AFI Fest in November, and then it will be released nationwide December 23, 2015.

Ryan Gosling, Christian Bale And Brad Pitt All In One Movie? It’s Happening, Get The Details Inside!

A movie starring Ryan Gosling? Guaranteed hit. A movie starring Christian Bale? Guaranteed hit. A movie starring Brad Pitt? Guaranteed hit.

A movie starring all three of them?

We are speechless, as well. After having success with Moneyball, Brad Pitt and his production company Plan B Entertainment, have decided to team up with best-selling author Michael Lewis again. According to Variety sources, the next film from Plan B will be an adaptation of Lewis’ novel, The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine.

The non-fiction book details the build-up of the housing and credit bubble back in the early 2000s, which led to the massive collapse in 2007-2008. Christian Bale, Brad Pitt and Ryan Gosling have all agreed to star in the adaptation, which will be written and directed by Adam McKay.

Of course, McKay is known for Step Brothers, The Other Guys and Anchorman. Not exactly the first director you would pick for a serious and important film like this; however, we are going to trust Brad Pitt. Sources say Pitt is extremely passionate about this project, so there is obviously a reason he believes McKay is the right person for this job.

But honestly, it doesn’t even matter. None of this matters. We should have just stopped after the GIF. This film could be two hours of Christian Bale and Brad Pitt trying to feed Ryan Gosling cereal, and it would still pull in more than $250 million.

It Looks Like Christian Bale Will NOT Be Playing Steve Jobs After All

This upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, directed by Danny Boyle and written by Aaron Sorkin, is just a complete mess right now. You would think having a talented director and a talented writer behind the project would make for easy casting, but that has not been the case with this movie.

After coming so close to signing a deal, it now looks like Christian Bale has decided to skip the project. Every movie site (including ours) had been reporting that he was a lock to star as Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic. We were confident in reporting this because Sorkin told Bloomberg TV the following last month,

“We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that’s Chris Bale. He didn’t have to audition. Well, there was a meeting.”

Obviously, he spoke too soon. It’s being reported that Bale “came to the conclusion he was not right for the part and decided to withdraw” before negotiations started. This makes him the second major movie star to back out of the film. Before the Bale rumors popped up, it was reported that Leonardo DiCaprio was in talks to take the lead role; however, he also decided the part wasn’t right for him.

And even the original director, David Fincher, decided to bail on the film. It’s true, they did a great job of replacing him with Danny Boyle, but it makes you wonder why everyone seems so afraid of this project.

What does this mean for the Seth Rogen rumors? We learned last week that Seth Rogen was reportedly in talks to play Steve Wozniak, but even that seems unlikely now. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. The Hollywood Reporter claims Boyle is supposed to be in town this week to meet with actors and actresses for the film.

Did Seth Rogen Land Huge Role Playing Steve Wozniak In Upcoming Steve Jobs Biopic?

This news was certainly unexpected. The Hollywood Reporter claims director Danny Boyle wants Seth Rogen to play Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak in the untitled film based on Walter Isaacson’s book. They claim that Rogen hasn’t officially been offered the part, but it’s clear both Boyle and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin want him.

However, Variety is reporting that the deal is essentially done. Their sources have allegedly confirmed Seth Rogen will star in Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic. If the reports are indeed true, this would be huge news, and probably the most important role of Rogen’s career. As some of you may remember, Sorkin has already confirmed Christian Bale will be playing Steve Jobs.

He told Bloomberg Television the following…

“We needed the best actor on the board within a certain age-range and that’s Chris Bale … I couldn’t be more excited. He really is a phenomenal actor. He didn’t have to audition. It was just a meeting.”

It’s clear that he only wants the best for this film, and apparently he thinks Seth Rogen is the best actor to play Wozniak. It will certainly be interesting to see the comedian take on a more challenging role. We have seen glimpses of his serious side during movies like 50/50 and Funny People. Both films received mostly positive reviews from critics, so we are confident Seth will knock it out of the park.

We saw how well the Jonah Hill/Leonardo DiCaprio experiment worked out in The Wolf of Wall Street. With Oscar-winner Danny Boyle directing this film, it’s hard to bet against it. I fully expect that the Seth Rogen/Christian Bale experiment will be just as successful as the Leo/Hill experiment.

Christian Bale To Play Steve Jobs In Biopic, Will Be In Every Frame Of The Film

During an interview with Bloomberg Television, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin confirmed that Christian Bale will star as Steve Jobs in the still untitled biopic. The film will be based on the ‘Steve Jobs’ biography by Walter Isaacson.

Sorkin made it clear in the interview that Bale was his first choice for the demanding role. He didn’t even make him audition!

“We needed the best actor on the board within a certain age-range and that’s Chris Bale … I couldn’t be more excited. He really is a phenomenal actor. He didn’t have to audition. It was just a meeting.”

Obviously, Christian Bale is a screenwriter’s dream. Who wouldn’t want an Oscar-winning actor starring in their film? What an incredible treat, right? But landing Bale is more than just a treat for Sorkin. It’s vital for the film’s success.

Why? Well, we will late Sorkin explain.

“The role is an extremely difficult role. He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined. There isn’t a scene or frame that he‘s not in and there’s a tremendous amount of language. It’s an extremely difficult part and he’s going to crush it.”

Sounds like quite the challenge. Hopefully he does a better job than Ashton Kutcher did. I feel bad saying that, because I do believe Kutcher tried really hard, but the end result looked like a bad SNL skit.

Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett And Many More Added To Cast For ‘Jungle Book: Origins’

Andy Serkis and Warner Bros. have loaded their ‘Jungle Book‘ adaptation with a cast full of stars. We have now learned that Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Tom Hollander and Naomie Harris will all join Benedict Cumberbatch as the animal characters in the movie.

The film, which will feature CG animation, motion capture and live action, will also star the adorable Bad Words actor Rohan Chand as the human boy Mowgli. It’s being reported that Christian Bale will voice the panther Bagheera, and Cate Blanchett will take on the menacing python Kaa.

Andy Serkis, who will be making his directorial debut on the film, will also take on the role of Baloo the bear. The casting is now complete on the film, which means Warner Bros. and Andy Serkis are ready to take on Jon Favreau and Disney. As most of you know, Disney is also mounting their own Jungle Book film, with Jon Favreau in the director’s chair.

Disney’s version has a cast full of stars, as well. Bill Murray, Christopher Walken and Scarlett Johansson have all agreed to join the cast. The film is expected to hit theaters October 9, 2015.

Which version are you looking forward to the most?
