Watch Sandra Bullock And Channing Tatum In First Trailer For ‘The Lost City’

Both Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum have proved they can lead an action-comedy flick. Tatum with 21 Jump Street and Bullock with Miss Congeniality.

Now, they’re joining forces for the upcoming action-comedy film, The Lost City. In the Paramount film, Bullock plays Loretta Sage, a novelist who has spent her career writing about exotic places in her romance-adventure books.

She’s reluctant to promote her new book because she’d rather spend her time in the bathtub while drinking Chardonnay with ice. Nevertheless, she agrees to go on tour with Alan (Tatum), the hunky cover model who serves as the face of her series, to meet fans and sell copies of her novel.

But of course, things don’t go as planned. During the promo trip, Bullock’s character is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire played by Daniel Radcliffe.

Tatum’s character wants to prove he’s more than just a pretty face, so he sets off to rescue her in the dangerous jungle.

Brad Pitt makes also makes an appearance in this movie, so there are some real heavy hitters involved here.

Check out the trailer below. The Lost City will hit theaters on April 15, 2022.

Channing Tatum Returning To The Stage One More Time For ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’

Were you craving just one more shirtless dance from Channing Tatum? Well, you’re going to get it. Warner Bros. just announced that they are developing a third installment in the Magic Mike franchise.

Tatum confirmed the news by posting a photo of the title page for the script, which is appropriately titled, “Magic Mike’s Last Dance’

Steven Soderbergh is returning to direct the movie. He directed the original flick back 2012. The film took over the world and made nearly $170 million at the box office. From there, it sparked a sequel and even a successful stage show in Las Vegas. It has since expanded to London, Australia and Berlin.

According to the report, Magic Mike’s Last Dance will premiere exclusively on HBO Max. Rein Carolin, the writer behind the first two films, returned to write the script for this third installment as well.

In addition to the movies and the live shows, the franchise has also sparked a reality show.

The live shows inspired the upcoming HBO Max reality competition series Finding Magic Mike, which premieres on December 16. The series follows 10 men who have ‘lost their magic’ as they bare their souls and learn to perform dance routines, with one winner being awarded a cash prize and a chance to perform on the Magic Mike Live stage in Las Vegas.

No word on a potential release date for this upcoming third installment, but we’ll keep you posted.

Zoe Kravitz Set To Make Feature Directing Debut With Thriller ‘Pussy Island’

I don’t know about you, but when I see the title, ‘Pussy Island‘ my interest goes up a little bit. It’s way better than Gilligan’s Island or Temptation Island. Out of all the islands out there, I prefer Pussy Island.

Anyway, I’m getting distracted. Pussy Island is an upcoming genre thriller from Zoe Kravitz. She will make her debut as a feature director. She also co-wrote the script with E.T. Feigenbaum, which sounds like a made up name.

According to the report, Channing Tatum will star in the film.

Frida is a young, clever, Los Angeles cocktail waitress who has her eyes set on the prize: philanthropist and tech mogul Slater King (Tatum). When she skillfully maneuvers her way into King’s inner circle and ultimately an intimate gathering on his private island, she is ready for a journey of a lifetime. Despite the epic setting, beautiful people, ever-flowing champagne and late-night dance parties, Frida can sense that there’s more to this island than meets the eye. Something she can’t quite put her finger on. Something that is a bit terrifying.

Well, damn. Maybe Pussy Island ain’t that great after all. Everything in moderation, eh? Maybe we don’t need a whole a** island of pussy.

By the way, Kravitz is super excited to be making this movie, which she should be. It’s a long process. She started writing the script back in 2017.

This is my first feature and it’s taken many years to get to this point and I’m very excited to step into this new phase. There’s absolutely a thriller element to the film, but it has comedy, drama and real heart. At heart through, it’s a genre thriller.

I’m looking forward to this one!

Daniel Radcliffe Joins Sandra Bullock In ‘Lost City of D”

The upcoming romantic adventure drama ‘Lost City of D‘ just added to its already impressive cast.

According to a new report, Daniel Radcliffe has joined the project, and he will be playing a villainous role.

The Paramount flick stars Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum…

The story follows a reclusive romance novelist (Bullock) who was sure nothing could be worse than getting stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum) until a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving life can be so much stranger, and more romantic, than any of her paperback fictions.

Patti Harrison and Da’Vine Joy Randolph will co-star in the movie, which is being directed by Adam and Aaron Nee.

Last we heard, it’s scheduled to be released inside theaters on April 15, 2022, so you still have a solid year of waiting.

In the meantime, you can catch Daniel Radcliffe in the 2020 thriller/drama, Escape From Pretoria.

But just be warned, he ain’t Harry Potter no more.

REPORT: Lizzy Caplan Set To Join Channing Tatum In ‘Gambit’

Channing Tatum’s Gambit film has been in the works for a long time. At times the progress has been slow, but it now looks like they are speeding up the process.

According to a report from Variety, Lizzy Caplan is in talks to join the cast of Gambit. She will reportedly be playing the female lead in the superhero flick. A spokesperson for Fox declined to comment on the report, but sources claim it’s pretty much a done deal.

Variety gives us more details on the film…

“The X-Men spinoff stars Channing Tatum as Gambit, a ragin’ Cajun whose ability to control kinetic energy enables him to weaponize playing cards and other projectiles. He’s also pretty handy with a bō staff. In the comics, Gambit was a member of the Thieves Guild before joining the X-Men. “Pirates of the Caribbean” director Gore Verbinski will slide behind the camera on the film. It’s eyeing a Feb. 14, 2019 debut.”

We have to imagine filming will take place in the early part of 2018, so we will probably be hearing more casting news in the coming weeks.

Channing Tatum’s ‘Gambit’ Film Now Has A Release Date, And It’s Super Romantic

It feels like we have been talking about this ‘Gambit‘ film for years. It’s been in development for a long time, but it’s finally getting made, and we now have an official release date from 20th Century Fox.

The X-Men movie starring Channing Tatum will hit theaters February 14, 2019. There are two other movies scheduled to be released on that same date, including Warner Bros’ comedy Isn’t It Romantic starring Liam Hemsworth and Rebel Wilson.

To learn a little more about this Gambit project, we’ll hit you with this excerpt from Deadline:

“Chris Claremont and Jim Lee created Gambit for Marvel in 1990. Otherwise known as Remy LeBeau, Gambit has the ability to charge matter with volatile kinetic energy, causing the object in question to explosively release its charge on impact. The character materialized in a short burst in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine at the time portrayed by Taylor Kitsch.”

Another day, another comic book movie. I have to imagine by 2020, the general movie audience will grow tired of these films. This is what Hollywood does. It notices that something is working, and then beats the sh*t out of it until no one appreciates it anymore.

And then in like 20 years, it will make a comeback.

The Trailer For ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’ Has Arrived, And Everyone Is Freaking Out Over It! (VIDEO)

When ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service‘ was released back in early 2015, it kinda surprised everyone. It wasn’t expected to be a huge hit, but for some reason the audience really connected with it.

It grossed over $414 million worldwide, which made the director Matthew Vaughn extremely happy. It was his most commercially successful film ever. Even the critics enjoyed the spy-action comedy. It currently sits at a comfortable 74% on Rotten Tomatoes.

And with all that success (especially the delicious $414 million total) you had to know there was going to be a sequel.

Kingsman: The Golden Circle released its first trailer this week, and it was definitely worth the wait. It’s hard to make a great trailer, but the studio nailed it with this one.

Both Taron Egerton and (surprisingly) Colin Firth have returned for this sequel. They are joined by Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore and Halle Berry.

You can check out the official synopsis and trailer below. It’s scheduled to hit theaters September 22, 2017.

“With their headquarters destroyed and the world held hostage, members of Kingsman find new allies when they discover a spy organization in the United States known as Statesman. In an adventure that tests their strength and wits, the elite secret agents from both sides of the pond band together to battle a ruthless enemy and save the day, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy.”

The First Official Look At Soderbergh’s ‘Logan Lucky’ Film Features Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig And Adam Driver (PHOTO)

We have been waiting for this one. Steven Soderbergh’s Logan Lucky has released its first photo, via its official Twitter account, and it features the three stars of the film: Channing Tatum, Daniel Craig and Adam Driver.

As reported by Dark Horizons, the heist film will follow two brothers (played by Tatum and Driver) “who set out to execute an elaborate robbery during the legendary Coca-Cola 600 race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Craig plays a criminal type they recruit to help them pull off their scheme.”

The cast for this movie is stacked. In addition to the three leads mention above, you also have Riley Keough, Seth MacFarlane, Katie Holmes, Hilary Swank and Dwight Yoakam.

This will be Soderbergh’s first film since 2013’s Side Effects. Logan Lucky is scheduled to hit theaters August 18, 2017.

Remember That ’21 Jump Street’/’Men In Black’ Crossover Movie? Well, It’s Actually Happening And We Know Who Will Be Directing

The leaked Sony emails from 2014 revealed more than we ever wanted to know about the inside of Hollywood. You had racism, sexism and one insane idea to combine the 21 Jump Street franchise with the Men in Black franchise.

Even though there were several emails referencing this crossover idea, we never actually thought it would happen. But according to a recent report from Variety, the movie is still being developed and the studio is currently talking with James Bobin (The MuppetsAlice Through the Looking Glass) in hopes he will agree to take on the film.

And while sources admit the official greenlight hasn’t been given, the studio wants a June production start date. It seems like Sony is wanting to bring the Men in Black franchise back to life with this movie. They want to relaunch the series by adding “younger and fresher faces,” which means Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones will not be returning.

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum would be teaming up with the new Men in Black actors to create this movie, so it will still have all the star power it needs to be successful at the box office.

We’ll see how this situation plays out. The script has reportedly been completed and studio executives are happy with it.

Movie Review: The Hateful Eight (2015) – Tarantino in a way I haven’t seen him since Pulp Fiction

quentin-tarantino-ennio-morricone-hateful-eight - 10JAN2016

It’s about damn time Quinton Tarantino put out something new. I feel like I have to wait decades between his movies, which sucks, because he is my favorite director.

What can I say? I dig excessive violence.

It looks like he’s digging the historical perspective, as this one is another one set in Civil War era. John “The Hangman” Ruth (Kurt Russell) is a bounty hunter crossing Wyoming with unhinged prisoner Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) during a blizzard. They pick up a few sidekicks along the way, to include Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson) and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), both notably connected to the Civil War on opposite sides.

So it’s clearly set for some conflict, and the tension is almost immediate. Every character in this movie has an ulterior motive and a backstory. It’s Tarantino at his absolute best. As a result, he picked many of the actors he loves to pair up with for movies like this, including Samuel L. Jackson and Kurt Russell, who both bring their best to their roles. Another standout is Jennifer Jason Leigh, the sole female character in the film who manages to be an incredibly intriguing character. Her quicksilver temper and over-the-top reactions are perfect and she truly is a stand out character.

The-Hateful-8-2015-880x320 - 10JAN2016

Of course, we can’t go over a Tarantino movie without discussing the gore and there’s lots of it. However, sometimes it went too far, to the point where it almost felt slapstick. There’s a fine line between tongue in cheek violent, and straight up comical, and in that, a few scenes in this movie missed

The running time is painfully long. At 2 hours and 47 minutes, expect a numb butt by the end of this one. That’s especially difficult as there’s an underlying mystery and this whole movie can be a bit exhausting. I feel like a few scenes should have been left on the cutting room floor. I have yet to see a movie over two hours long that couldn’t have been shorter and still been effective…and yes, I’m including Schindler’s list in that equation.

I do dig the flashback scenes that give us a fully fleshed out look at how all of the characters came together. Tarantino is the king of bending time and making it fit together seamlessly and the Hateful Eight is no exception.

This is a film that you can really sink your teeth into. Despite its long running time, it didn’t really drag out. Instead, you’re kept thinking through the entire thing and there are more than a few surprises in store. This is Tarantino in a way I haven’t seen him since Pulp Fiction, and that’s high art, as far as I’m concerned. While Django Unchained got a bit difficult to watch and was a bit flat in the storyline, Tarantino’s second historical film is better in that he has a lot more character development.

This is absolutely worth the watch, though you may want to get comfortable. You’re going to be there awhile.
