Rebel Wilson Starring In An Adele Biopic? Find Out How Adele Feels About This Rumor…

You may have heard this strange rumor floating around the internet this week. Sources told U.K.’s Daily Star that Rebel Wilson was in talks to play Adele on the big screen. It sounded a bit ridiculous, but the sources did seem pretty convincing.

“This is going to be a huge challenge for her because Adele is a legend at the peak of her popularity,” the source told the tabloid, adding that the actress “is desperately hoping to get Adele’s blessing.”

Well, it’s a good thing these rumors are completely false, because it doesn’t look like Adele would approve this casting decision. During a concert on Tuesday, the 27-year-old singer told the crowd…

“I’ve heard there are rumors about Rebel Wilson will be playing me in a movie. Let’s see if that turns out to be true. She’d need my f–king permission. Just because I’m plus-sized doesn’t mean she’s playing me.”

Damn. She was quick to smash those rumors. Rebel also addressed the rumors on her Twitter account earlier this week…

There you have it, folks. Wilson will probably never star as Adele on the big screen, but she can continue to pretend in front of the mirror like the rest of us.

Gorgeous George Biopic Coming Soon, Josh Gad Will Be Writing It For WWE Studios!

Josh Gad and his writing partner Ryan Dixon have been hired to write something pretty important. Fans of professional wrestling have been waiting for this for a long time. George Raymond Wagner (Gorgeous George) will finally get his time to shine on the big screen.

WWE Studios announced the exciting news this week. The biopic will follow the life and career of Wagner, who started wrestling in his teens, and inspired several athletes/performers to show off their wild side to make things even more entertaining for the crowd watching back at home.

Michael Luisi, President of WWE Studios said the following…

“Gorgeous George was a true pioneer in television. Josh is a true talent and we are thrilled to see him and Ryan tackle such a groundbreaking story.”

Obviously, since Gad and Dixon have just started working on the script, no release date has been announced for the movie. Gad just finished production on Beauty and the Beast, and he’s scheduled to start filming Russ & Roger Go Beyond in January, so it looks like he has a 3-month window to create this screenplay with his partner.

Hopefully Gad can earn the respect of his haters with this film. Many wrestling fans don’t seem to be thrilled that the dude from The Wedding Ringer is writing a movie about one of their favorite wrestlers.

We’ll see what happens…

Ronda Rousey Will Star In Film Adaptation Of Her Autobiography, Get The Details Inside!

Is there anything Ronda Rousey can’t do? Well, after watching her performance in Furious 7, I would say the one thing she can’t do is act. But according to a new report from Variety, the 28-year-old professional kicker of booty will star in the film adaptation of her autobiography My Fight/Your Fight.

Paramount Pictures has secured the rights to the best-selling book. Matt Bomback is on board to adapt the book and Mary Parent will reportedly produce.

“It’s a real honor to be a part of bringing Ronda’s incredible story to the big screen.” Parent said in a statement. And Rousey also seemed to be excited about the project. She confirmed the news on her Instagram account…

“Can’t wait to work with Paramount, the talented Mark Bomback and Mary Parent! When it’s time to make this, I promise to make it special.”

When will it be time to make the movie? No one knows. Ronda might be scheduled for one more huge fight later this year, and then she’s expected to work on Mark Wahlberg’s upcoming movie, Mile 22, in January of 2016.

It’s going to be an interesting ride. You’ll notice how Ronda said, “When it’s time to make this, I promise to make it special.” And you know what? I believe her. She has probably been working on her acting skills, and we all know what happens when she works hard at something. She becomes addicted to it and doesn’t stop until she is the best.

Hopefully this movie is just as successful as Eminem’s 8 Mile.

Your First Look At Michael Fassbender As Steve Jobs In Upcoming Biopic

It look a long time, but director Danny Boyle finally found his Steve Jobs. As most of you know, both Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale were “in” at one point, but deals between the actors never worked out.

This opened the door for Michael Fassbender. He signed on for the lead role earlier this year, and now production on the film written by Aaron Sorkin has started in California. And even though filming is currently taking place, we haven’t seen any official stills released.

But this promo poster being used on the San Francisco set of the movie gives us our first clear look at Fassbender as Jobs.

A fan snapped the photo and posted it on Instagram. It’s a replication of a promotional advertisement for NeXT, the computer company Jobs started after he was removed from Apple in 1985.

Many fans are already pointing out that Fassbender looks nothing like the character he is playing. Some even suggest blending Ashton Kutcher’s face with Fassbender’s acting abilities. Personally, I don’t think he looks too absurd. It’s not something that would ruin the movie for me.

I mean, the look of the character isn’t everything. We saw a great example of that with Ashton Kutcher’s Jobs biopic. He looked exactly like Steve Jobs, but the movie was terrible.

I’m not expecting this latest film to win any awards, but I do believe it will be better than the 2013 film. You can catch it in a theater near you October 9, 2015.

Has Christian Bale Already Been Replaced? Find Out Which Actor May Take Over Lead Role In Steve Jobs Biopic

Another day, another actor rumored to be playing Steve Jobs in Aaron Sorkin’s upcoming Steve Jobs biopic. At this point, the drama behind this film might actually be more interesting than the film itself. As you all know, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin and director Danny Boyle have now had two major movie stars bail on their project.

Leonardo DiCaprio was the first actor considered for this demanding role, but he ended up passing on the project. And then Sorkin’s attention turned toward the great Christian Bale. Boyle and Sorkin desperately wanted the award-winning actor to take on the lead role. And for a few weeks, it looked like they were going to get their wish.

Sorkin even told reporters that Bale was the right man for the job, and revealed that he didn’t even have to audition for the part. They just had a meeting with him and that was it. However, as we all know, Bale dropped out right before negotiations got started because he didn’t feel like he was right for the part.

Phew! Did you get all that? I hope so. Anyway, just a few days after we learned that Bale dropped out, we are now hearing rumors involving Michael Fassbender. According to Deadline, the 37-year-old actor has been approached by Sorkin. Both Boyle and Sorkin believe he’s qualified for the role, and they claim it will not interfere with his busy X-Men schedule.

We will just have to wait and see where this latest rumor goes. I am crossing my fingers that it sticks. Pretty soon they are going to cross every actor off their list and we’ll be seeing posters like this next year…

It Looks Like Christian Bale Will NOT Be Playing Steve Jobs After All

This upcoming Steve Jobs biopic, directed by Danny Boyle and written by Aaron Sorkin, is just a complete mess right now. You would think having a talented director and a talented writer behind the project would make for easy casting, but that has not been the case with this movie.

After coming so close to signing a deal, it now looks like Christian Bale has decided to skip the project. Every movie site (including ours) had been reporting that he was a lock to star as Steve Jobs in the upcoming biopic. We were confident in reporting this because Sorkin told Bloomberg TV the following last month,

“We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range and that’s Chris Bale. He didn’t have to audition. Well, there was a meeting.”

Obviously, he spoke too soon. It’s being reported that Bale “came to the conclusion he was not right for the part and decided to withdraw” before negotiations started. This makes him the second major movie star to back out of the film. Before the Bale rumors popped up, it was reported that Leonardo DiCaprio was in talks to take the lead role; however, he also decided the part wasn’t right for him.

And even the original director, David Fincher, decided to bail on the film. It’s true, they did a great job of replacing him with Danny Boyle, but it makes you wonder why everyone seems so afraid of this project.

What does this mean for the Seth Rogen rumors? We learned last week that Seth Rogen was reportedly in talks to play Steve Wozniak, but even that seems unlikely now. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. The Hollywood Reporter claims Boyle is supposed to be in town this week to meet with actors and actresses for the film.

Did Seth Rogen Land Huge Role Playing Steve Wozniak In Upcoming Steve Jobs Biopic?

This news was certainly unexpected. The Hollywood Reporter claims director Danny Boyle wants Seth Rogen to play Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak in the untitled film based on Walter Isaacson’s book. They claim that Rogen hasn’t officially been offered the part, but it’s clear both Boyle and screenwriter Aaron Sorkin want him.

However, Variety is reporting that the deal is essentially done. Their sources have allegedly confirmed Seth Rogen will star in Sony’s Steve Jobs biopic. If the reports are indeed true, this would be huge news, and probably the most important role of Rogen’s career. As some of you may remember, Sorkin has already confirmed Christian Bale will be playing Steve Jobs.

He told Bloomberg Television the following…

“We needed the best actor on the board within a certain age-range and that’s Chris Bale … I couldn’t be more excited. He really is a phenomenal actor. He didn’t have to audition. It was just a meeting.”

It’s clear that he only wants the best for this film, and apparently he thinks Seth Rogen is the best actor to play Wozniak. It will certainly be interesting to see the comedian take on a more challenging role. We have seen glimpses of his serious side during movies like 50/50 and Funny People. Both films received mostly positive reviews from critics, so we are confident Seth will knock it out of the park.

We saw how well the Jonah Hill/Leonardo DiCaprio experiment worked out in The Wolf of Wall Street. With Oscar-winner Danny Boyle directing this film, it’s hard to bet against it. I fully expect that the Seth Rogen/Christian Bale experiment will be just as successful as the Leo/Hill experiment.

Christian Bale To Play Steve Jobs In Biopic, Will Be In Every Frame Of The Film

During an interview with Bloomberg Television, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin confirmed that Christian Bale will star as Steve Jobs in the still untitled biopic. The film will be based on the ‘Steve Jobs’ biography by Walter Isaacson.

Sorkin made it clear in the interview that Bale was his first choice for the demanding role. He didn’t even make him audition!

“We needed the best actor on the board within a certain age-range and that’s Chris Bale … I couldn’t be more excited. He really is a phenomenal actor. He didn’t have to audition. It was just a meeting.”

Obviously, Christian Bale is a screenwriter’s dream. Who wouldn’t want an Oscar-winning actor starring in their film? What an incredible treat, right? But landing Bale is more than just a treat for Sorkin. It’s vital for the film’s success.

Why? Well, we will late Sorkin explain.

“The role is an extremely difficult role. He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined. There isn’t a scene or frame that he‘s not in and there’s a tremendous amount of language. It’s an extremely difficult part and he’s going to crush it.”

Sounds like quite the challenge. Hopefully he does a better job than Ashton Kutcher did. I feel bad saying that, because I do believe Kutcher tried really hard, but the end result looked like a bad SNL skit.
