Jessica Chastain Is In Talks To Star As Beverly In The Upcoming ‘It’ Sequel

Right after it was revealed the ‘It‘ sequel would jump several years into the future to show the kids as adults, fans started campaigning for Jessica Chastain to play the adult version of Beverly.

And it looks like those fans are going to get their wish. According to multiple sources, the 40-year-old actress is in talks to star as Beverly in the sequel. The negotiations are still in the early stages, but both sides want the deal to close. We already know that director Andy Muschietti will return to direct, Gary Dauberman has returned to write the script, and Bill Skarsgard will return as Pennywise.

It: Part 2 is expected to be released September 6, 2019, which means more casting news will be released soon. Things will be moving pretty fast now.

“Chastain has been linked to the sequel for some time following its monster opening weekend, as the Muschiettis mentioned her in an interview with Variety as a top choice to play adult Beverly in the sequel. Rumors even surfaced of a post-credits scene in which Chastain could have made a cameo, though that never came to fruition.”

As mentioned above, this sequel will feature the kids as adults, and they’ll be forced to face Pennywise one more time. We will keep you posted as more information is released. It was one of my favorite films of 2017, so I can’t wait to see what they do with the sequel.
