It Is Here, ‘Sicario 2: Soldado’ Has Released First Trailer, Check It Out Inside!

If you watched movies in 2015 (let’s hope you did) you probably saw the crime-thriller Sicario. It was one of the better movies of 2015, and it was a surprise box office hit. It made $84 million worldwide against a budget of just $30 million, and it received outstanding reviews from critics.

Now the sequel is here, and the trailer looks incredible. Josh Brolin has called Sicario 2: Soldado, a “more severe” and “much bigger” film than the first. Emily Blunt starred in the first film, but it’s Benicio Del Toro and Brolin taking bigger roles in this sequel.

The New York Times explains:

“Josh Brolin and Benicio del Toro reprise their roles as a federal agent and a shadowy operative, respectively. When the American government declares drug cartels to be terrorist organizations, the two aim to take down the kingpins by any means, legal or otherwise. ‘Turning you loose,’ Mr. Brolin’s character tells Mr. del Toro’s. ‘No rules this time.'”

Even though Denis Villeneuve didn’t return for this sequel, we still have high hopes. The film is expected to hit theaters June 28, 2018. Check out the trailer below..

Emily Blunt Is The New Badass In Hollywood, See Her In Action In The New ‘Sicario’ Trailer!

For those who still haven’t purchased their ticket to ride the Emily Blunt train, we suggest you do that now. The actress, who once starred as Meryl Streep’s snooty assistant in The Devil Wears Prada, is now one of the hottest action stars in Hollywood.

After the success of Looper and Edge of Tomorrow, the 32-year-old actress hopes her new film Sicario will be just as successful. And after watching the trailer, we think it’s safe to say she has nothing to worry about. The film, directed by Denis Villeneuve (Prisoners) also stars Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin.

The film premiered last month at the Cannes Film Festival, and the early reviews have been extremely positive. There were a few critics who weren’t impressed, but we’re just going to ignore their comments. They were probably just in a bad mood when they watched it.

Sicario hits theaters September 18 for a limited release, followed by a wide release just one week later. Check out the official trailer and synopsis below…

In Mexico, SICARIO means hitman. In the lawless border area stretching between the U.S. and Mexico, an idealistic FBI agent (Emily Blunt) is enlisted by an elite government task force official (Josh Brolin) to aid in the escalating war against drugs. Led by an enigmatic consultant with a questionable past (Benicio Del Toro), the team sets out on a clandestine journey forcing Kate to question everything that she believes in order to survive.
