Sienna Miller Says She Had Zero Chemistry With Ben Affleck While Filming ‘Live by Night’

During a recent appearance on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show‘ Sienna Miller talked about what it was like filming with Ben Affleck back in 2016.

The two actors starred in the gangster drama ‘Live by Night’ in which Miller plays Affleck’s love interest. It was an important project for Affleck, as he was also serving as the director.

But according to Miller, she and Affleck had zero romantic chemistry.

Ben Affleck was like my brother [on set]. I’ve never laughed so much in my life. I mean that sounds like a ridiculous thing to say and like a name dropping thing to say, but I actually mean it. We had zero chemistry whatsoever. It was hysterical. We were supposed to be in love. We could not be less attracted to each other, which was hysterical. He has an enormous head, I have a small one, so they’d have to like put me slightly ahead of him.

Damn, okay then. Why you gotta call out his enormous head like that? Perhaps the audience picked up on the lack of chemistry because the movie bombed at the box office. It made just $22 million worldwide. It made just $10 million here in the states. It worked with a budget of $90 million, so yeah, that sh*t was a legit failure.

You can catch Miller in the upcoming Netflix thriller series, Anatomy of a Scandal, which is set to launch on April 15.

As for Affleck? Just look out the window. You’ll probably be able to see his head.

Watch The First Trailer For Steamy ‘Deep Water’ Flick Starring Ben Affleck And Ana de Armas

Are you ready to watch the first trailer for the film that made Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas briefly fall in lust?

Hulu released the first trailer for ‘Deep Water’ on Sunday, the psychological erotic thriller starring Affleck, de Armas, Tracy Letts, Lil Rel Howery, Jacob Elordi and Finn Wittrock.

The film takes us inside the marriage of picture-perfect Vic (Affleck) and Melinda (de Armas) Van Allen to discover the dangerous mind games they play and what happens to the people that get caught up in them.

Adrian Lyne directed this flick, the filmmaker behind Fatal Attraction. The script was written by Zach Helm and ‘Euphoria‘ creator Sam Levinson.

The movie was originally going to be released back in November of 2020, but it was pushed to August 2021 due to the pandemic. It was then moved to January 2022, before finally settling on the upcoming March 18 release date.

It’ll premiere exclusively on Hulu. It doesn’t look like this will hit theaters. You can check out the first trailer below…

Ben Affleck Says He’d Still Be Drinking If He Were Married To Jennifer Garner

Ben Affleck has been busy the past couple weeks, promoting his latest film, ‘The Tender Bar‘ which was directed by George Clooney.

The 49-year-old movie star was on ‘The Howard Stern Show‘ this week, and during the conversation, Affleck talked about his drinking problem. He admitted that if he were still married to Jennifer Garner, he’d most likely still be drinking daily.

We probably would’ve ended up at each other’s throats. I probably still would’ve been drinking. Part of why I started drinking was because I was trapped. I was like, ‘I can’t leave because of my kids, but I’m not happy, what do I do?’ And what I did was [I] drank a bottle of scotch and fell asleep on the couch, which turned out not to be the solution.

Affleck and Garner got married back in 2005 and divorced in 2018. They have three children together. Some of you may remember that Garner was very supportive when Affleck entered rehab for alcoholism. She was right there by his side, which is why some people have a problem with Affleck’s comments.

They feel like he’s blaming his drinking on Garner, but I don’t think that’s what he was trying to say. I think he was simply saying he felt trapped in his marriage and didn’t have the proper tools to deal with it.

And he spoke highly of Garner during the rest of the interview, saying she’s a great mother who he still loves, but just shouldn’t be married to.

Everything you read [in the news about the divorce] was bulls–t. The truth was we took our time, we made our decision … We grew apart. We had a marriage that didn’t work. This happens. She’s somebody I love and respect, but to whom I shouldn’t be married any longer.

We did it amicably. We did our best. Did we have moments of tension? Did we have disagreements over custody? Was stuff difficult for us? Did we get angry? Yes, but fundamentally it was always underpinned with a respect.

These days, Affleck is with another Jennifer, Jennifer Lopez. They are still going strong.

The First Trailer For ‘The Tender Bar’ Has Arrived, Starring Ben Affleck And Directed By George Clooney

Ben Affleck and George Clooney are hoping to take home a few awards for their upcoming coming-of-age drama, The Tender Bar.

George Clooney directed the film, which is based on the coming-of-age story of the same name from Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist J.R. Moehringer.

The 2005 memoir centers on Moehringer (played by Daniel Ranieri as a child and Tye Sheridan as a young adult), who finds a father figure in his bartender uncle and the patrons of his bar, who take him to the beach, to ballgames and ultimately inside their inner circle.

Affleck stars as the loving uncle. Additionally, the film features performances from Lily Rabe, Tye Sheridan and Christopher Lloyd, who is 82-years-old, if you can believe that!

The early reviews for this movie have been stuck in the middle. No one seems to hate it, but no one has truly expressed love for it either.

Honestly, I think the trailer looks pretty good, but we’ll see how the whole film plays out. It’ll hit select theaters on December 17 before going wide on December 22.

Say Whaaat? Ben Affleck Set To Return As Batman In ‘The Flash’

It looks like Ben Affleck is giving this Batman thing one more shot. It was just announced that he plans to put on the cape one more time in Ezra Miller’s The Flash for Warner Bros.

The director of the project, Andy Muschietti revealed the exciting news in a recent interview with Vanity Fair. He said Affleck got the script last week and has already agreed to join the project.

His Batman has a dichotomy that is very strong, which is his masculinity—because of the way he looks, and the imposing figure that he has, and his jawline —but he’s also very vulnerable. He knows how to deliver from the inside out, that vulnerability. He just needs a story that allows him to bring that contrast, that balance.

As some of you may remember, Affleck’s time as Batman has been a bit chaotic. He played Batman in the 2016 ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ film. He gave the character everything he had, only to see the movie slammed by critics.

Things after that became even more complicated…

Affleck had been planning to direct and star in a standalone Batman film for Warner Bros., but stepped down from helming in 2017, handing over that job to Matt Reeves. He decided early last year not to star in the movie, with the role going to Robert Pattinson. Affleck has admitted that he stepped away from the movie due to a drinking problem.

But now that he’s received more help for his drinking problem, and appears to be in a good mental space right now, I guess he feels like he can handle the responsibility. He probably wants redemption.

The Flash is scheduled to hit theaters in June, 2022.

Check Out Ben Affleck And Anne Hathaway In First Trailer For ‘The Last Thing He Wanted’

Another day, another trailer release from Netflix. ‘Mudbound‘ director Dee Rees has teamed up with the streaming giant once again, this time for a political thriller titled, The Last Thing He Wanted.

This movie has a pretty impressive cast, including Anne Hathaway, Ben Affleck and Willem Dafoe

Based on the Joan Didion novel of the same name, The Last Thing He Wanted stars Anne Hathaway as a single mother and hardened journalist investigating Contra activity in Central America, far away from home, where she faces frustrations over censorship, struggles with her ailing father (Willen Dafoe) (who turns out to be a key player in the story she’s trying to break,) and winds up inheriting his position as an arms dealer.

There is a lot going on there, but we’re sure it all adds up. The thriller is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. It’ll then be released on Netflix, February 21, 2020.

With a talented filmmaker and wonderful cast, we have high hopes for this film. Check out the trailer below…

Ben Affleck And Ana De Armas In Talks To Star In Erotic Thriller ‘Deep Water’

I think the last ‘erotic thriller’ I watched was ‘Wild Things‘ and I watched that A LOT when I was a teenager, specifically that one scene. You know what scene. Don’t act like you don’t know.

Beyond that, I don’t have much knowledge in the erotic thriller space, but there appears to be a new one brewing in Hollywood.

According to multiple reports, Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas are in talks to star in the erotic thriller, Deep Water. Filmmaker Adrian Lyne is set to direct this project.

Based on a 1957 novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith. The story follows a small-town couple in a loveless marriage in which the wife is allowed to take lovers as long as she does not desert the family. However, complications arise when the husband takes credit for the unsolved murder of one of the former lovers.

Sounds pretty interesting to me. I’m sold. If Affleck and Armas agree to a deal, filming could start as soon as November.

No word on a potential release date, but if filming does begin in November, you have to imagine the film could be released Fall 2020.

We’ll keep you posted.

Robert Pattinson Will Reportedly Be The Next Batman For Upcoming Warner Bros. Pic

Were you wondering who was going to replace Ben Affleck as Batman in the upcoming Batman flick from Warner Bros.? Wonder no more.

Director Matt Reeves and Warner Bros. have apparently agreed to hire Robert Pattinson as the next Batman. It’s a bit of a surprising move and if the deal goes through, Pattinson will be the youngest actor to ever play the superhero at just 33-years-old.

That being said, Pattinson is not your typical 33-year-old actor. He has completely reinvented himself after shooting to worldwide fame thanks to the ‘Twilight‘ franchise.

He has focused on mainly indie flicks lately and has proven himself to be a superb actor. That being said, Affleck is also a great actor and his turn at Batman didn’t quite go as planned.

Filming on this new Batman movie will reportedly start in late 2019 or early 2020.

Last we heard, it’s expected to hit theaters June 25, 2021. I know this news hasn’t been confirmed, but I can’t stop myself from getting excited. I’m really pumped to see what Pattinson can bring to the table.

Ben Affleck Officially Says Goodbye To Batman During Appearance On Jimmy Kimmel Live! (VIDEO)

We were all so excited when we learned Ben Affleck would be joining the Batman franchise. Everyone thought he’d make a wonderful Bruce Wayne, but when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice came out, critics slammed the movie. It got a super low 27% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

It was a huge kick to the gut for Affleck. He put everything he had into the role, and while most people agreed he was one of the better parts of the movie, he took the poor reviews to heart.

He tried to bounce back from it. It was announced a few months later that he was going to star in and direct the next Batman movie, but that quickly fell apart. It was revealed he would be stepping down as the director, but would remain as Batman.

But now, even that won’t happen. Ben Affleck is done with the character. He confirmed all the rumors during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

“I tried to direct a version of [Batman], [I] worked with a really good screenwriter, but kinda just couldn’t come up with a version. Couldn’t crack it. I thought it was time for someone else to take a shot at it. And they’ve got some really good people.”

It was announced a week or two ago that filmmaker Matt Reeves will be taking the lead on ‘The Batman,’ which is set to be released in 2021.

Reeves told The Hollywood Reporter the following…

“It’s very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale. It’s told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it’s going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional.”

Ben Affleck Has Returned To Acting, And He’s Playing A Character Who Is Struggling With Addiction

After a 40-day stay in rehab for alcohol addiction, Ben Affleck is returning to work, and he’s playing a role he knows quite well.

According to multiple reports, he’s shooting a new movie titled ‘Torrance,’ which is about former basketball star who is struggling with addiction while trying to redeem himself by coaching a high school basketball team.

‘True Blood’ actress Janina Gavankar will play his ex-wife who still cares deeply for him, so I guess this is a mix of Affleck’s life and Lamar Odom’s.

Now we know why Affleck was working out so much in rehab. We thought he might be replacing working out with drinking, but I guess he was just trying to get in shape for this movie. He’s pretty beefed up at the moment.

Earlier this month, Affleck thanked his friends and family for supporting him during his battle with alcohol…

“The support I have received from my family, colleagues and fans means more to me than I can say. It’s given me the strength and support to speak about my illness with others. Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle. Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family.”
