Abigail Breslin Set To Join Matt Damon’s Drama Film ‘Stillwater’

Abigail Breslin can be seen inside theaters this October in the ‘Zombieland’ sequel, ‘Zombieland: Double Tap,’ but before she hits the press tour for the film, she’ll be taking a little detour.

It was announced this week that Breslin is set to join Matt Damon’s upcoming film, Stillwater.

The drama film will be directed by Tom McCarthy. He co-wrote the script with Noe Debre and Thomas Bidegain.

The story follows an American oil-rig worker from Oklahoma (Damon), who travels to Marseille to visit his estranged daughter who is in prison for a murder she claims she did not commit. Confronted with language barriers, cultural differences, and a complicated legal system, Bill makes it his personal mission to exonerate her.

Sounds like a very Matt Damon movie. We’re not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. It could go either way at this point.

Filming will begin next month, so things should wrap on set before Breslin has to join the Zombieland press tour.
