Netflix is probably one of the best “studios” to connect with as a young creative because they are pretty loyal. You work with them once, and they’ll hear anything you want to pitch.
‘Stranger Things‘ star Millie Bobby Brown took advantage of her Netflix connections to produce the upcoming film, A Time Lost.
The film is based on an original story by Brown and her sister Paige. Screenwriter Anna Klassen was asked by Brown to adapt the story.
What is the story?
A long-standing feud between two Long Island families comes to a head when one of their teenage daughters is diagnosed with cancer.
A bit of a twist in the “teen dying of cancer” market. Instead of a romance drama, it’s a family drama.
Millie released the statement you see below with her sister…
We are so grateful to Netflix for their confidence in us and this beautiful story, which we have spent years writing and developing. It’s about friendship, family and overcoming obstacles when it feels like the world is pushing you down. It’s been a labor of love, literally.
No actors have been cast yet and no release date is scheduled, but we will keep you posted.[mashshare]
