So, Uh, The MTV Movie & TV Awards Nominations Have Been Released…YAY?

Published On May 15, 2019 » 820 Views» By Z-rowe »

Does anyone really care about the MTV Movie & TV Awards? Sure, some people might find the actual award show entertaining, but does anyone really care about the awards? Probably not.

And that’s mostly because the nominations (and categories) are so all over the place. For example, in this year’s Best Movie category, you have Us, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, BlacKkKlansman, Avengers, and To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.

That last nomination is a bit of a head scratcher, eh? Obviously MTV doesn’t care about the critically acclaimed indie dramas, but even by their own standards, what the heck is To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before doing on the list? It doesn’t exactly compare to the other nominations.

But it’s best if you don’t try to make sense of the nominations. Just enjoy the show and hope someone says something entertaining while accepting their award.

Zachary Levi is set to host the awards show on June 17. Check out the full list of nominees below…
