Seth Rogen & Lonely Island Are Moving Forward With Their Fyre Festival Parody Film

In many ways, the Fyre Festival ended up being a lonely island, and now The Lonely Island and Seth Rogen are working together to develop a film about the disastrous music festival.

They announced they were developing this movie over a year ago, but there hasn’t been much talk about it recently. After the two recent documentaries were released, people started to question whether Rogen and The Lonely Island were still working on this movie.

In a recent interview with The Daily Beast, Lonely Island member Jorma Taccone revealed they are indeed still developing the movie.

“Oh yeah. I don’t want to divulge all the details but we’re figuring it out right now. You’ve seen the docs, right? It’s crazy. This is something that Akiva and Seth cooked up, and we’re figuring it all out right now.”

So it looks like they’re still in the very early stages, which means the project could go up in flames just like the Fyre Festival.

But hopefully they’re able to put the time in and make this damn thing because I have no doubt it’d be f**king hilarious. And if they’re smart, they’d start working on it this year while people are still talking about it.
